I'm assuming this is the right place for this to go, but lately the skin on my fingers has been peeling. My hands haven't really been dry or anything, but it's just been peeling; I'm not sure if this is due to a change in weather or something in the water, but it's been going on for about a week now. I haven't really had this happen before, or at least I don't remember if it did. Any advice?

Shea butter, whipped. Or a very old trick that works WELL is a pair of white cotton gloves on after you slather in something that really holds water like Vaseline and sleep in them.
If you get cracks and splits use something with antiseptic in it like Bag Balm ( no kidding, it will sting a bit though..warning ).
Another really good one is made my Burt's Bees for gardening hands.

Hey Candeh,

That is normal...It happens to every woman I know. I only noticed it happening to me about 2 - 3 years ago I think...It only seems to happen every few months though. I'm not sure if it's a change of season thing or what...But it only lasts a few days.

If it bothers you, just exfoliate your hands with a reasonable quality scrub and then apply hand cream after, that will help remove the excess flaky skin and soften your hands 🙂

I think you are right on with the vitamin deficiency thing too but then again it can be from a bit of dehydration as well. My skin was getting very dry and although I didn't want to fully admit it to myself I knew that it was from not drinking enough water. When I started drinking lots of water my skin improved fairly quickly. So it's worth a shot to drink more water, eat some healthy fruits and vegetables and try some of the above mentioned products!
🙂
