Favorite Artists/Artistic pieces?

Mine is the Flemish Renaissance artist Hieronymus Bosch. Especially his triptych "The Garden of Earthly Delights". If any of you here have seen this painting before you know what I'm talking about. It kept me looking at it in awe. I would love to go to Madrid where this painting is located and see it. But he had many other great paintings, very surrealistic.

Also Albrecht Durer did some great artistic pieces like "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" and "Knight, Death, and the Devil".

Jan Vermeer did some great realistic paintings like "The Geographer."

Gianlorenzo Bernini was the greatest sculptor in my opinion. Also a great Architect.

Geez, I could go on and on about my favorite artists Caravaggio, Ingres, David, Michaelangelo, Salvadore Dali etc...

So who are your favorites? Also what did you think was the greatest era for Art? I pick the Baroque Era. I think Western Art was definitely at its best then. I think most 20th century art is total crap!

My taste in art is kinda eclectic,I like a li'l bit of everything...
Caravaggio,Rembrandt,Munch,Van Gogh and Dali are some of my favorites...
I like some of Monet's and Caspar David Friedrich's work.

James, good to see you old pal. Hey do you happen to talk to Phoenix or Luz or Morgan anymore. I tried looking for Star but I had no luck there. I wonder what could be better than posting at dxpnet that would make them leave? lol

No I do not Phoenix left me hi and dry. Loved that woman perhaps she ran off with some one to the islands. Morgan Grad e ated from highschool and became a rock star.

Hundertwasser is my absolute favorite.

I've never heard of Hundertwasser. Is he a recent artist?
