Gemini's and Commitment

So I've always read that Gemini's don't particulary like commitment. I've been dating a Gemini male for a few months and twice he has asked me "where is this going?" and I've tried to leave it open/ go with the flow. That seems to be a problem now and because I wont say what I want it's causing other problems. So I'm just wondering how Gemini's feel about commitment? I feel like if I don't confirm our relationship now he maybe moving on.

When I was much younger, commitment was a no-no for me. Now that I'm older, I need the security of a commitment - I feel like I'm floundering and unstable when I'm not sure where a relationship is headed. I will hang on there for a while but will rather let you go than hang on. Then again, I have a Cappy moon which craves stability and security.

Young Gem committment no-no; older more mature Gem, yes!

Interesting. OK - he's an older Gem and I can tell me not answering this question has bothered him to the point where we are fighing over stupid things and he damn near told me yesterday that he's ready to move on. I thought my actions would show him where my heart is but I guess it wasn't clear enough. So I've sucked it up and I've answered his question. Hopefully to his satisfaction.

Young Gemini's absolutely no commitment. When I was younger I ran from any type of "Omg what are we" questions. I said no to marriage and kids or Id at least tell everyone that I wasn't into that.

Now it's completely different. Definitely like to be in a committed relationship but I still have that tiny bit of young Gemini in me that goes "Yes id like to have a committed relationship but just don't hound me and remind me every waking minute". I still have a cap on it as far as you going around like making it a big deal. I like it to be subtle.

Yeah if he's young don't even say the C word.

The whole, "Gemini's don't like commitmen"t is a huge misconception.

He's an older Gem and he's the one asking for a commitment 🙂
I've tried to avoid it but he's a great guy and if he wants a commitment I can do that for him.

Why would you want to leave it open? Were you looking for some other options? Something better to come your way maybe? Especially after the man had literally asked you about "where is this heading". You dont need a code breaker with this guy as to "why Gem man this or that"... he's being just a guy, nothing too unreadable or geminian about him. Also he seems to be a very literal person for you to have suck up and given him the truth in words as opposed to actions. Not all are tuned into others to read them like a book. Sometimes you stumble on these kinda people too.

All your posts about the gem man make me ask you this - Do you really like him at all?

Funny you should say that because I'm in love with him and he knows this so I didn't think I really had to answer the question. I haven't felt this way about someone in years. The problem is he scares me to death and where I am very comfortable being in a relationship I don't always feel like he is because his communication can be evasive at times. I also know that he likes his freedome and he is very independent from being a single parent. A characteristic that I love about him but it's also hard sometimes to find that "space" where I fit in with him.

I love him but I haven't felt 100% completely secure with him because he loves in a diffferent way then I'm used to. For example, I'm used to ex's texting and calling me all the time. He's not like that and I've come to learn that, it's just who he is and doesn't mean that he's doing anything inappropriate. I do have trust issues so sometimes I have to "check myself" in how I deal with him.

This forum has been great because I can see a lot of Gem qualities in him from what others have shared.

Please..."Age aint' nothing but a number". My Gemini is "younger" & he made a commitment to me.

When I'm really into someone who has 80% of what im looking for, i could enter a monogamous relationship. 79% or less forget it. I'll just date and keep things light and simple until Mr 80% or higher comes along. Imagine being in a committed relationship with someone you have doubts about?= disaster...Smh.
