If you could have lived any other time in history, when would it have been?

I don't think I could have survived without the invention of toilet tissue so I am going to say the 1930's. Everyone was just so glamorous.

I would also liked to have met Moses. He seems like he would have been someone to know and parting an entire sea would have just won me over. I would have been like WOW do that again. I love amazing things. I still go to the circus at 36 without any children.

Oh one more...I really would have liked to see a dinosaur up close and personal.....and one of the pyramids being built. 🙂

That's it

I would have to agree on the 1930's too...although it was during The Great Depression and booze was illegal, so maybe not. You wouldn't want to go back to the thirties and be broke, believe me.

My Nana (great grandmother) came to America during the Depression. Resulted in her having some hoarding tendencies with food. Regardless, she was a damn classy woman. 🙂

So now I have to go find out what happened after 1494. I know CC dropped anchor in 1492.

You can't change history Seraph-I might still be calling some man Master or sneaking to read a book. You can only look, like Elle said and maybe say hi or something but no interfering. But your story was hilarious. I can see you blocking the door like "dude, I'm telling you don't go out there" or so do you know a man named John who might not like you?" 🙂

I can't honestly say that I'd be interested a certain time in history. I think every piece of time has some type of attraction for me.

So if I were to answer you, I'd have to say I'd reside within some type of nomadic seafaring population. I'd like to throw away this life style to pursue a primal fight or flight life... I'd like to feel primitive and human.

But I can't give a time... just a deep yearning to thrive on instinct.

The Renaissance period.

It came about as a result of the plague which ravished Europe--nearly 50% of all the people were killed by the disease. Out of that came one of the most creatively productive periods including many of the production invention concepts that we use today-- mainly due to the fact that there were fewer people. Necessity is the mother of invention. Also, it was during this period that so many serfs were able to own land for the first time and work their way into the upper classes--which before was unheard of.

Its a fascinating period, imho.

x 1,000.

To be blunt, medical advances are limiting humans in so many ways. There are only so much we can thrive from in attempting to choke the Earth and processes through 'control'. At this point, we're trying to force 'human nature' to replace 'nature' and the actual death and rebirth of all.

.. Err, basically without my irrelevant frills - I AGREE!! (lololol) 😛

Ancient Persia sounds cool. I would've liked to see Ancient Assyria or Babylon as well.

Rig! You even look like Cleopatra...or rather I should say that you look like what we IMAGINE Cleopatra looked like (beautiful and elegant) because apparently she wasn't that hot in real life LOL. Poor Cleo!

hmm, could not even convince Julius Caesar for the second child----so much for the game of seduction,

Either way, if she died from that venom.. ack, can't imagine the pain.

The few things I fear most are held within that - death by venom? Oh, my dear Shiva, HELLLLLL NO. That and scarab folklore freaks me out.

I love snakes but definitely prefer pythons.. don't get that nasty venom risk.

The Egyptians boggle my mind with their mathematical precision without ANYTHING but themselves and the world amongst their beings and above their heads.

Oh how I yearn for that 😭

Oh yeah! That Octavian was a jealous twit, and a sadist to boot. Did Cleo really do the cobra poison thing? Or is that just a tale for effect?

@Nala
You make a good point! Rig is becoming more Leo than us Leos LOL!!!

i've got mars in leo and it stomps all over all my other aspects on occasion 😄

i had hypnotic regression done on me years ago and it was a really disturbing experience cos i went back to the aftermath of the holocaust. all i could see were piles of bodies decomposing and i was so traumatised by it that i snapped out of the hypnotic state and i was unwell for a few days after. i wouldn't advise anyone to do it cos i'm sure your subconscious is all wrapped up in your ancestry and what i saw was a regression through my own family history.

my then boyfriend, a cancerian was an egyptian priest no less. i was in the room when he did his and to me, his experience was so obviously prompted by his conscious mind it was ridiculous...'yeah, i'm holding a golden scroll...i think i'm a priest...yeah, a high priest'...he even sounded fake when he was talking and after, he was so full of himself about how he kinda knew he had a priestly past, lol.

he had been to oxford university and one of his tutors had commented that he had 'a tendancy towards solipsism' which is basically a posh way of saying he had a habit of disappearing up his own ass, LOL. ne'er a truer word said.
