Leo guy and Taurus girl

I started this thread bec. I don't see experiences shared about Taurus being with a Leo.. And I'm kinda in a relationship with a Leo now. I like many things about him, but I can already tell we are both stubborn, but we are not too stubborn for eachother, we don't really argue.

Him: Aqua moon, Virgo mercury, Virgo venus, Virgo Mars
Me: Scorpio moon, Taurus mercury, Aries venus, Pisces Mars

Just generally... cause I heard a few comments about relationship between Leo and Taurus don't last and i'm just wondering why .. what could possibly go wrong between the two

Some obvious challenges between these signs:

- Different love languages: Leos understand love through gifts and affection (physical/verbal). Tauruses understand love through actions; the time they make for others, listening carefully and being extra thoughtful and sweet. If neither understands that they give and receive differently it's impossible to meet someone else's needs or get their needs met.

- Leos are passionate and action-oriented, we know what we want and we go for it. Tauruses like to tread slowly and softly, taking their time. Difference of pace can also cause clashes.

- Leos can be jealous, Tauruses can be possessive. Leos can have fan clubs, and Tauruses can have harems. To sum up... awkward.

- Both can be stubborn. What might start off as a simple disagreement can escalate to WWIII because neither will back down, both are certain they're right and won't budge.

- Both are prideful and slow or unwilling to let down their guard. If either person gets hurt, they won't communicate it directly. They'll both sulk and lick their wounds in private. And then come back harbouring a grudge that'll inevitably grow into full blown resentment.


On the bright side, I've found being different as night and day is incredibly fulfilling and stimulating, because what one person has the other lacks. It also offers so many opportunities for growth, both personally and together. And despite having opposite perspectives and temperaments, they both want a strong and deep love that lasts and possess traits to make it happen. Passion is off the charts, can't imagine anyone who can get under my skin like the Bull does!

Honestly, with anyone it just takes some open-mindedness, communication and acceptance. But I'm not gonna lie, knocking heads with a Bull has probably been the most unexpected, intimate and meaningful experience I've had so far

@ UntamedLeo, I can't agree more with you! I've never been with a Leo, but damn I'm so attracted to him! and about the pace thing, you're right about that, we bulls are very slow at it I believe. Positives - both extremely sexual, physical/sexual attraction very strong, both very warm, touchy-feely, affectionate and generous, heavy on cuddling, both true to our word, honest, persistent, no BS people.

Negatives - intellectually a dull match resulting in dull conversations, the who's-the-more-popular/attractive-one power struggles slightly present... Clash of the prides also. His conservative attitude to certian stuff along with a tendency to "play by the rules" can be irritating or laughable to me but I'm an Aquarius Moon/dominant.

i have a massive crush on a taurus woman.. but she's a boss.. I occasionally joke with her and make her laugh and stuff but Im still hesitating to make a drastic move giving her position. She's about 3 years older.

Aww that's a challenging circumstance you had in meeting your Leo, I can totally appreciate why you were so hesitant but I can also see both sides of that story. Damned Leos and our open, fearless and impulsive affection haha

I'd rushed in headlong with my Bull the first time thinking it was just some fun and flirtation. Then he charged at me with seriousness and long-termness and scared me off LOL Was a bumpy ride after that, I moved even slower than him and we just never managed to get on the same page.

Took a long break of NC before we reconnected again. And now... well I'm still moving at a snail's pace but it's been amazing and I'm content to keep moving forward. My main concern is enjoying the slow pace we're at now and wondering if he's going to charge me again. Cause I get that feeling in the pit of my stomach that he will sometime, and I'll get steamrollered and locked down LOL

It's so true though! I've seen both me and my Taurus become irrationally jealous or possessive... over really what was nothing. Because I don't 'tend' my fan club and he doesn't -really- have a harem but... yeah, we've still been stupid over that stuff. Got a hoof print on my butt and he's got claw marks on his. Kinda ridiculous 😆

Well we had NC for two weeks, seemed to me much longer than that! and it was my choice.. I was trying to push him away (I was so messed up emotionally) .. anyway we talked everyday since then, and we are so intimate (it seems that it comes naturally, I'm not usually this way in relationships, but cant help myself) .. I am still finding it hard to officially date him though

Do you just need more time to keep getting to know him, or is your ex or anything else getting in the way? Has your Leo been pushy about being official or is he leaving the topic alone?

I am over my ex cause there's noway i'd want to be with him ever again. Maybe what's confusing me is the Leo not bringing up any talks about the future (unlike my ex who got me into taking him more seriously when he brought the talk about being his life partner..). Another thing, the Leo and I are not living by the same standards, or status.. etc I should not care about this as long as I find someone who loves me as much as I do love him. But, this along with him not talking about our future, makes me wonder if he's serious. By the way, he used to tell me that he won't ever think of any other girl.. that was when I wanted to part from him.

What do you mean not living by the same standards? And why did him saying he won't ever think of another girl make you want to leave? I would've thought him saying he only had eyes for you would be a good thing :/

it will sound superficial saying this.. but his life style is different than mine and the way he talks in public is unlike the way it is when it's only me n him, not so charismatic as he sounded. The way he dresses is so different that people were staring at us but I didn't care cos that's what a bull is about (fuck people wont tell me whom to love lol) .. and I would stand by him anyway. But still a part of me thinks maybe we wont live comfortably with eachother.. but how would I know?!

@ KittyKnitter: I value your post, it requires work to make things go smoothly, and your words truly reflect what it's like to understand the person you're with and know when to choose your battles is very important. To me, we don't really argue, he lets me get away with things with his agreement and desire, he knows me too well too and he's very mature, which helps a lot!!

oh and maybe I said this in unclear way.. but him saying he only had eyes for me made me feel that he really doesn't want to leave. It was one of the things that made me stay actually.. hard to find a loyal person.

update: I mentioned before that I'm not sure if he's serious about me. Today, he asked me if I would like us to be exclusive? and be a couple .. I told him I'd want to meet him, since I traveled away, I'm going back in a week or so. I wanted to decide after we meet up so this is why I wanted to meet him first and maybe then I'd know the answer..
