he just emailed me....rox, you have to spin me a way out of this (meaning i have to write 'creative' press releases'). i worked for a huge public sector trade union for years prior to working for news international as a freelance and so i'm well versed in this but as the segment says, the financial authorities in the uk will be investigating the company and so i'll know myself if it's all a scam or not. you can tell how slimey he is can't you and so half of what he tells me is bullshit.

(a male leo trait seraph, is it not.....?)

the thing is taurusman...this is genuinely not a scam. i'm the analyst/researcher for this company and a few others in his group and i also do all the pr. i'm registered with the FSA as i'm a former analyst/trader and so i know what i'm talking about in terms of what is legit and what isn't.

i know there are several land scams going on but stu, although scruffy, is pretty clever really and along with his invisible partner (also a jew)..they explore loopholes to make SURE they're 'legit' when it comes to investigations.

the problem is, as i told him, is that he's too greedy and he shot himself in the foot by runing from the cameras. the closer on the phone whose real name is not jennifer, made the second fatal error of saying 'categorically yes' to the land being developed on. the land is sold on the premise that it will be 're-zoned' for development which is an entirely different thing and IS purely speculative and so should be sold on that basis....as ALL investments are.

interestingly, i posted this on my fb wall cos i thought it was pretty hilarious and a cancer/leo woman at the office left me a voicemail saying stu would go mental if he knew i'd done that. i'd switched my phone to silent as it had been ringing non stop since the report and i was taking a nap and when i played the voicemail, i could hear the fear in her voice, lol. she's obviously unaware that stu's already been in touch with me about it all and i've said my piece.

she's the compliance officer working on the land, so she's gonna be in the centre of the shit and stu's going to find out what happens when you hire people who are easily manipulated to do your fronting for you.

i can't wait to go to the office on tuesday. any second now, it will be raided by british fraud squad and fsa along with the spanish guardia civil. it's gonna be a HOOT!!! fortunately, the money i get from him only represents a third of my income...otherwise, i'd be crapping myself right now, lol!!

also, no-one puts a gun to the heads of the people who invest but the way it's reported, which is obviously for effect, makes these people look like innocent victims but at the end of the day, they wrote the cheques!! it does my head in.

unfortunately, most of them are older people and in the uk, families are notorious for not taking care of their elderly...so where are they when they're handing over the last of their life savings!!!

so, it's six of one and half a dozen of the other. stu's greedy and he bought that plot for virtually nothing and is selling it at vastly inflated prices but nevertheless, no matter how 'in the air' the investment scenario is, the potential to make a decent return IS there....but over what period of time, no-one knows.

our closers are some of the best you'll find out there. i sit and listen to them all the time cos they are so persuasive as to be almost hypnotic!!

we have these advertising board buses that go around london advertising another product of his (another legit but expensive thing)...and i was joking with the printer about having stu's face on it with the caption...would you buy carbon credits from this man? LOL.

oh and at risk of sending everyone to sleep with my text walls...another leo i work for who i've know over 20 years was fined the largest amount by the FSA in 2010 and got a lifetime stock trading ban!! and the leo whose party is next weekend was thrown out of the online gaming company for selling players' betting info to another company in the same building! the other leo who i am frankly bored of referring to as the knobhead has also been in prison for fraud!!!

i mean...seriously guys....are any of you on the level??!!??

perhaps this is why i have a fatal attraction thing going on with leo men....i don't attract normal law abiding, take him home to meet your father kind of men...never have done...didn't even manage to marry one!!

i am definitely not writing all that again. seraph....no i'm not on the level sometimes. did i say i was? you are way too uptight for your own good you know. take a look around you and you'll see that there is deception pretty much anywhere there's money and power.

and no, i'm not bothered about putting him on here or facebook either. you know what? i think word has got out already.

anyone who has loyalty to someone who pays their salary is a sucker seraph.

clever crimes generally though sheathed...give them due...white collar criminals. a scorp at work went to prison for biting a female police officer in the leg!! now that's a pretty inane criminal act don't you think? so all in all, leos are a superior breed of crook.

Actually - I trust a homeless man over a man in a business suit.

There is nothing more disgusting and vile than a 'white collar criminal' - which is a polite euphemism for piece of shit.

I give due to those who work hard and work honestly. End of story.

-awkward cough-

don't feel awkward sheathed. a young lion has no defence against a phoenix on the rise, lol.

you should fetch some popcorn instead although knowing the speed of the leo forum, you could lose the will to live between posts 😛

love your pic 🙂

Don't doubt the true flesh and blood creatures over imagined fable beings, after all - where must a 'bird' always land eventually? Land. To the real world, where the real beings of Earth lay, such as Lions. Brushing them off is not favorable for the long run, and wording responses as if the receivers are in sorts of beneath you? Well, that's just unnecessary and cold.

Popcorn is too meaningless of an input into my body. Granny Smith apples are just as fitting and don't junk up the teeth.

it's greed. pure and simple. that's the motivation behind all these kinds of crimes and ultimately, they ALWAYS get caught in the end. there were a bunch of companies exposed for landbanking scams around this time last year and the directors wound up in jail. karma gets everyone but some people think money and power give them immunity but it's just not possible. in some way they pay for what they do. stu has built a whole empire on trampling over 'little people' having started out in the notorious timeshare business.

but by working for him, i don't think that means i necessarily condone what he's doing. at the end of the day, my role within the company is legit and i go home with a clean conscience. also, i have responsibilities i have to meet which will inevitably involve me in working for someone shadey by dint of where i am geographically.

a couple of years ago i was investment manager for an indian billionaire. his trust was based in gibraltar where i worked. he asked me to do set up fixed income trading accounts with a small boutique bank who were prepared to 'overlook' full disclosure. he basically wouldn't declare who the beneficiaries of his investment trust were which goes against all money laundering legislation.

i refused...he fired me and i would do the same again cos if these people or their companies get investigated, it's people like me, with FSA registration that end up wearing the shit and i won't put myself in that position, especially as there are custodial sentences involved in this kind of thing. up to 14 years in prison in fact.

I never attacked your role in his work, R1g0r. I never think wrong of those who are honestly working.

But I also don't condone any sort of activity that screws people over. It may not seem like the people who are being effected matter too much, but they do. You dont hear or see about those people. They're there. It's rather second nature to ignore those people, because usually it's 'too difficult addressing the fact they're alive but suffering'.

And Rockerfeller is far too outdated for this matter, although I understand your point. I don't think Ford or Rockerfeller did horrific things, but schemes that directly screw people over make me sick.

Much of this is (for me) focused on healthcare fraud where patients do not receive the care they are being documented as receiving. In some of those instances, patients are neglected or abused while Medicare pays for whatever service the fraud is claiming. The payouts are RIDICULOUS.

In business I am extremely moral minded. Somewhere in my chart, it claims that I am always rooting for the 'underdog' and hold my values
in business very high. So, it's definitely translating within this instance. 🙂

...and what it is with the "white collar" bashing? Don't we all put our pants on the same way? One leg at a time.

regardless if you go to work in a suit or not, all people can equally be shady.

No, I agree that everyone has equal opportunity to be shady.

However, white collar crime usually effects a larger scale of people. And while I know my original comment of 'I trust a homeless man over a man in a business suit' is a bit bias - and I admit that. This comes from growing up in an area that the 'lesser' people had nothing while the people that were able to support their family did so by exploiting the misfortunes of others. In that sense, I'm able to relate with those with 'less' simply because growing up - that's what I had. My family put blood sweat and tears into making an honest living with helping others.

A man in a business suit represents an organized group of multiple disciplines - of which I don't know the values and ethics of everyone within, and who answers to who.

A man with nothing is more likely to only bring himself into play.

Personally, I don't put on pants to go commit crime. I don't really commit any.

I don't think the fact he's a Jew should even be a factor. This is disappointing to even have to think over considering that although I do know you're Jewish and it's just your rapport - it's still a rock in the stomach reading that after I've stated that I'm really uncomfortable with reading Jewish as a 'noun' like that.

i've got the hump with my internet connection and have just wasted ages responding taurusman. CBA to write it all again so am shortening.

worked in finance 25 years...lived in london before coming to spain 10 years ago...was born in israel and am NOT english...since being in spain have worked for several companies, mostly dodgy and mostly selling investments. i write everything for them...contracts & agreements, terms and conditions, due diligence reports, websites, press releases, sales pitches, email campaigns, yadda, yadda....

every single thing i do is legit. i refuse to write anything that contains bullshit like 500% ROI GUARANTEED..as most of them do. i believe that it's possible to sell investments on merit, even for stu and his land deals...the only thing is that they are usually expensive and have a longer investment term before making returns than is implied.

the closers don't stick to my pitches, btw which is why the woman on the phone on the report made a false statement. i called her about it yesterday but she was too smashed to know what i was on about.

it's a sad fact that most of the 'victims' of these scams are older generation brits and the reason they are a soft target for these companies is because their families generally don't give a crap about them and so they're even more easily persuaded cos there's no-one looking out for them.

personally, i couldn't sleep at night but there were taped calls from another really sharky company that was exposed last year where the salesman was screaming at this old man to sell his house if he had to in order to invest. we at least don't allow that kind of intimidation. if anything, our closers are so successful cos they're very, very personable.

i'm on the fence with the whole issue cos i do think that some people are mercilessly ripped off which is wrong but there are some who are to blinded by greed themselves, and believing the promise of high returns, forget to research the investment. our closers are required to tell everyone to seek advice from a third party or an IFA. they rarely do though.

Im curious to know where some people justify the mindset that an employee MUST be alligant to an employer simply because they pay their salary. Can't the same be said in the reverse...that the employer MUST be allgiant to the employee because they do their job well?

My employer, or the #2 guy in company (family owned business)always says this bullshit that "We are a family"...blah blah...and then I see them stab people in the back repeatedly, over work people to death and take total advantage of them...all because people need a job in this economy. Loyalty my ass....I provide a service for the pay they provide. Any loyalty beyond that is because they treated me well and I wish to return the favor. Sadly, in my company, that is not the case.

Which is probably typical in most businesses.

yep 🙂

taurusman: watch it sunshine. less of the old. i have done a variety of jobs whilst working principally in finance. even at the trade union, i ran the pension fund but happened to also write press releases and speeches for the leader too.

this is not an arrogant boast but a simple fact...i am extremely clever..both academically and commercially. i'm a workaholic and enjoy giving 110% and so i generally end up having my fingers in all the pies (and eating a lot of them too, lol).

when i say i'm old, it's acceptable. when you say it, it's not, LOL.

just sayin' 😛

@R1 - You know or knew it was a joke right lol 😉 And yes you must be very talented. I reckon also approximately you are at least trilingual aka you speak Spanish, Hebrew and also English. Did you have any family members that were into finance and the like or were you the shining star? Just curious to know 🙂

i speak five languages. the ones mentioned plus french and german. i have one younger brother who is a trader but that's it really...the rest are in business. my dad was an army man and my mum a journalist/writer...so i get the latter skills from her.

and yes, i knew you were joking. i love getting older....it means i'm still alive! 🙂

I think your boss may need a paddle with this sort of exposure, rigor.🙂

i called the office today and it's business as usual! i thought he would've shut down but it seems not everyone saw the news report at the weekend and so they're continuing to sell that particular investment like nothing happened. i'm working on a website for a new company being set up in dubai involved in forestry carbon projects...there is no stopping this man, give him credit. he's just got to tone down the greed. to be fair to him, i maintain that there's nothing unlawful about what he does. things sell at whatever price people are prepared to pay at the end of the day and if people are prepared to pay over the odds for land that will probably be developed on at some point in the future, that's their lookout really.

a fool and his money are swiftly parted.

No he's not. 🙂
In the instance with the cartels his rivals set up, he put his wealth on the line to prove his legitimate method is superior to their illegal method. His beliefs remain relevant.
I could name multiple real life instances where wealth can be gained legitimately TODAY, like when a woman invests in a block of flats and rents them out, she gives people shelter and she gains an income. And the Pawn Stars guys from History channel will tell you about following the law and STILL making big bucks.

God (I'm an agnostic truly, but not here) blesses people who give, and curses people who take. I got absolute faith in that. There's NO LAW in the book where this "Leo Boss" in question here can't buy something for something and sell for marginal profit. It could-have-been mutually beneficial to the people who believed in him and nobody, not least the little people, had to die. One lil Scorp can't fight God's wrath, babe.

I should have mentioned that I didn't view this particular situation to be completely screwing people over. R1g0r did mention that although this situation seems shady, it's actually legitimate. I don't actually think much wrong on this instance.

Sometimes my ENFP personality forgets that people can't read my mind and know what I'm being specific on.

I'm truly thinking of really dirty horrific white collar crimes such as healthcare fraud or Bernie's BS.

I agree with you, but I'll admit that that isn't translating well with my responses 😛

it's still greed sheathed which is the motivator for most evil in this world.

apparently, stu has been laughing his head off about the sky report and there's only been one cancellation...so it would appear it was water off a duck's back.

however, my colleague gave me a heads up that he was talking about ME doing an interview with them as a response...the credible face of asset land and all that blah. i don't think i'll be doing it though. i can justify everything apart from how much his land investments cost...specially as they have proof of how much the site in question was bought by stu for.

shame really cos i fancy being on the telly!

i think i'm on my way to a showdown with the boss. he's been fucking me around paying my last invoice and usually that means he's pissed off about something else. i'm sure he must've heard the 'rumour' spread by the bitch but i still don't care about posting it cos the whole report was a joke! he knows i'm on his side really but i have to emphasise that to him now cos otherwise he'll continue to fuck me around to get his little revenge.

is it a leo thing to start a fight about something random to conceal the real reason for it?

well london isn't the whole country anyway...so just mayor to the god forsaken capital, lol. having worked in the trade union movement, i've seen for myself just how corrupt these people are. i don't think it matters what country it is, when there's power involved in the mix, evil is in amongst it in big doses.

anyhow, i got to work this morning and sure enough, my boss is not happy with me so he was on a moody and ignoring me. he's not in spain right now but i emailed him about some big business project i've got from another client which i want to put his way...he is extremely interested...so i made up in a way i know jewish people like...i showed him a big money opportunity. he's happy, i'm happy.

the cancer/leo bitch came up to me and said all snearily that she thought i was one of the most intelligent women she knew until she saw i'd posted that on fb. i just told her that had i known she was gonna tell stu anyway, i would have left it up longer! she was like...good luck on your one woman crusade against him, he'll never forgive you for this.

WRONG!!!!!
