I see. How does one generally fix those problems? Is there actually still repair shops that fixes those things?
I don't necessarily need to keep the same player, but I do still need something that can still play the dvd disks that I have.click to expand

I just know you aren't supposed to be using any commercial cleaning disks. Looking for ideas before I decide to try and find a new one...
