I haven't actually played a great variety of board games in my life...but recently I finally learned how to play Monopoly, and I've found I'm quite lucky at it, so therefore I love it...🙂 It's a great game for the slum-lord/power monger in all of us. Also...It's a nice mix of luck and strategy, which is good. The Game of Life bores me, I have to say...because it's pretty much ALL luck, and where's the fun in that? Although, I do like to spin the wheel, and I like having lots of "children" to the point of them accidentally falling out of the "car" and "getting run over"..lol. Clue is fun, because it's nearly ALL strategy, but I am not so good at that game, for some reason...I'm the nerd who takes detailed notes on what everyone else is "suggesting" and such...and then...woops, in one fell swoop I forget to look at my notes, and see what I already have...and make a "suggestion" based on three things I have already!! grrr.... for example..."I suggest it was Mrs. Peachicken in the Billiard Room with the Candlestick". "Sh**, I already have all those!!" (in my mind). Ahem...

So what do you all like to play?

I forgot to mention...I like Chinese Checkers and traditional Checkers quite a bit, because I usually win at both. Hehehe...

Phoenix,

I used to play board games and then realized that I am not much of a board game player...I need more something a little more active forinstance, Twister works for me.....those murder mystery dinner games are always fun and exciting...Connect Four activates something in my brain....This is all for now...

Games are fun and can be very challenging...I wonder if families still sit around the table playing games together like we used to——

lol, no, I got what you were saying (sorry about the cold btw...aren't they just THE most annoying annoyances in life??) This is funny but I've never played Connect Four...is that the one that looks like Checkers, stood on its side? Would be too shy to participate in the dinner theater thing, although my ex was a part time actor/standup comedian who did LOTS of them and swore they were the most fun things ever (he didn't do them anymore by the time we got together though...so I had to take his word for it!)...I just don't want to be "called upon" to act...I'm too shy for that. I "would", and I'd do my best, but..erhgm. It gives me the willies.. 🙂

I understand needing more action, though. I think there are at least two different types of game players, I fall into the category of mental/strategic...and the other category is probably more action/adventure.
