Does anyone know how to stop themselves form going totally red if they feel embarassed? I go red quite a lot and I really wish I could stop doing it. Any tips?
Nothing in particular. Just if I feel like I'm on display and I wasn't ready for it, or if I'm waffling about something that I have really done my homework on and I realise mid-spiel that I just contradicted myself, or if I'm talking to a guy who is really good looking I am doing some practical job with in work setting for example, I find that I start going red. And because of my fair skin colouring it is really noticeable and sometimes people will ask me if I'm alright and stuff.
The going red part is more embarassing than what prompted it in the first place! I've had this on and off for years but I really would like to get a grip on it. My self diagnosis is that it's a form of psychological sabotage where I subconsciously take control away from myself by facially reacting like this and then this creates the anxiety so that next time I'm feeling socially vulnerable for whatever reason, I'm even more liable to end up blushing to beat the band!
I'd love to have some physical drill that I could do when I feel this sensation coming on, that would just cease the flow of blood up to the face and send it back into regular circulation around the body 🙂
Thanks for showing the positive side of my blushing affliction anyway!
"if i were you, i would have loved to have it and learn to use it righty"
yeah the thing is that as it's probably due to my contrary and unruly mind, I usually do it to draw attention to myself as being shy and not very confident. But then maybe that's just my perseption of it as you say. Nice quote Archer 🙂
I blush easily also, and then I hate it when someone says, "aww, she's blushing!" or, "you're turning red". lol, thanks...I didn't know...
I can't control it all that well, but sometimes I try to think of being trapped in a freezer. lol, who knows if it works, because I'm never looking in a mirror when I'm blushing.

Biologists in Sweden will furnish conclusive evidence that men have "periods" analogous to a woman's menstrual cycle. They seem to correspond to changes in the relationship between Earth and the planet Mars
Any tips?
