do you sometimes say things that are (or at least you think are) extremely funny and others think you are just being mean and then you can't tell if they are being sarcastic or whether they are really hurt? do you ever regret things you said not because your intentions were wrong but because they were interpreted wrong? also, do you often say things absolutely innocently and then realize (after hearing someones lecherous laughter) that what you said could have been taken in a totally different (and naughty) way?
naughty or nice
I for one do it all the time.
You know, you do do it all the time Gwen. You really are mean!!! (hehehe, just kidding, I know you're just telling it like it is...)
People I deal with usually know when I'm playing with them and when I'm being serious. I say USUALLY. Sometimes there are misunderstandings, but that's usually when the person didn't like me to begin with, and I don't understand why because who wouldn't love a wonderful person like me— Anyway, I tend usually to have a pretty glass personality, which is also kind of sucky, since everybody can predict what I'm going to do and say... I can't have any fun and play any pranks, because they always know it's me!!!
UURRRGGG!!! I wish I was more misterious like you Gwen. You get to be the wise one, and I'm just little o'l predictable Morgan. Bleck. I need a new persona.

"I wish I was more mysterious like you Gwen. You get to be the wise one..." I'm going to get that one notarized
:p
:p
Well, it is true... I'm realistic.
Instead of being the one who's misunderstood, I feel like I'm often the one silently wondering, "what did he/she *really* mean by that?"...maybe it's paranoia, a tendency to overanalyze, or over-sensitivity, but I often ponder something that someone said for a long time after the fact if I'm not sure whether the comment was supposed to be a joke, or serious, or what. Usually, to avoid being a cookiemonster, if I suspect that someone just gave me a backhanded compliment or made one of those lovely jokes that also have a purposeful sting to them, I will laugh sarcastically, think about it a lot when alone, and devise a plan on how to treat that person the next time I see them...i.e, if I think the person simply made a stupid comment and is otherwise innocent of being purposely insulting towards me, then I will let it go and treat them the same as I did prior to the "incident". But, if I am pissed off or feel the comment was purposeful and planned, I will treat that person like they don't exist the next time I see them, and if I'm forced to be around them, I will then take every opportunity to be passive aggressive that I possibly can (obvious fake laughter at his or her jokes, and other such things to bring them down to where they brought me).
I have a pet peeve, a big one...I hate it when someone says something insulting, and everyone knows it's insulting, even though they try to cover it up by making it seem like a joke, and then if they find out you're pissed off about it they say, "but I was only joking!". AAAAAAA! I hate that so much, as if it would even be an excuse even if that person really WAS joking! I have, in the past, replied to that excuse by saying, "jokes are usually *funny*".
Well anyway, just thought I would chime in on this one 🙂
