Happy New Year Morgan! (and everyone else too!)

It is not really a New Year's resolution...but, I have resolved to make the most of each and every day (this part is for myself)...and, to be generous without expecting something in return (this part is for others)...

I am happy and have a good feeling about 2003! Anyone know which Chinese year starts in February?? I guess I could look it up...

I, too, wish everyone the best in this new year! Love to all of you!!

New Moon in Capricorn
Thursday, January 2, 12:23 pm PST

The New Moon in Capricorn is a time to set goals and make plans that will turn them into reality. Focus, concentration and discipline help establish productive new habits and curb old unhealthy ones. Mastery is a key Capricorn theme, but the point is not to conquer others. The idea is to ascend your own ladder of success where your own heart, rather than the opinions of others, is the primary motivating force.

Venus in Sagittarius
Tuesday, January 7, 5:08 am PST

The planet of love and relationships in Sagittarius reminds us that life is an adventure. It's not what we have that makes us happy now, but where we're going next. New pleasures are needed to fuel ongoing partnerships. A taste for exotic places and people encourages risk-taking. Goodhearted playfulness and frank conversations can open minds and hearts, and satisfy restless spirits.

Mars in Sagittarius
Thursday, January 16, 8:22 pm PST

The action planet in far-reaching Sagittarius brings attention to the future. Staying with here and now reality can be challenging, especially if you're stuck in a boring situation. Physical activity, travel and philosophical pursuits keep you stimulated. Movement brings new energy, while trying to conserve resources only slows you down.

Full Moon in Cancer
Saturday, January 18, 2:48 am PST

The Moon in its sensitive home sign of Cancer faces the Sun in coldly realistic Capricorn. Safety, we discover, doesn't come from being hard or soft, but in being able to easily move from one to the other. Balancing external cues (Capricorn) with internal ones (Cancer) develops objectivity that is anything but detached. It's simply a more open awareness of where you really want to be and what you need to do to get there.

Sun in Aquarius
Monday, January 20, 3:53 am PST

The Sun's entry into this midwinter sign (midsummer in the Southern Hemisphere) brings mental clarity that can arise from confusing situations. It's a new synthesis of ideas that helps us leapfrog over old barriers to discover fresh perspectives and wake up the world. Aquarius is a season when we recognize our collective needs and create models for cooperation that serve the group, yet respect the uniqueness of every individual.

Mercury Direct
Wednesday, January 22, 5:08 pm PST

The Messenger planet recommences forward movement at 12 Capricorn, the same degree as the recent New Moon. Clear thinking starts emerging in the coming days as fragmented ideas of recent weeks begin to coalesce. Loose ends can be woven into a fabric of reason and practicality.

The New Moon in Capricorn starts 2003 with an eye on long-term goals and the means to reach them. There is some danger that the authoritarian side of Capricorn may further concentrate power in the hands of those at the top of the social order. However, this is a time for each of us to claim authority and bear the responsibility to reshape our world. Fear can promote the forces of fascism that believe that maximum safety comes from maximum control. We can, however, transform our worries into creativity that can change the course of human history. We are making the future with the thoughts and actions of the present. Our choices are greater than those in power would like us to believe. Each conscious act widens the field of vision, revealing infinite resources for happiness and healing.

Would you believe I forgot to make any New Year's resolutions this year?? I've gone and lost my mind, it's official. I suppose I should say the stock "I resolve to quit smoking", but I don't 😛

More than anything, this year, I want to become more at peace with myself. I don't want to criticize everything I say and do anymore, I want to own my place in this world more dominately I suppose. But more than that, I really just want...dammit, I guess there's no escaping cliches, huh. I WANT INNER PEACE. lol.
