Stupid laws

Here in the UK you have to be 18 years old to buy COD (call of duty) yet can join the amry at 16. So you have to be 18 to pretend to shoot people but can be 16 and actually be out doing it.

Also here you have to be 18 to buy cigarettes now, yet it is legal smoke them if you are 16. But it is illegal to buy cigarettes for anybody under 18.

These laws are just a few of the many that confuse me lol

so basically your aloud to go round with a gun in your pocket and shoot things up but your not aloud to get drunk? just in case you drink drive?

weird, and America doesn't really need there gun laws anymore but they won't get rid of them?

lol yes i have heard there is some crazy law about polka dots. Apparantly there is some law about it being legal to shoot a scottish man with a bow and arrow if he is in a certain part of england too, cant remember the whole law exactly though.

Also it is illegal not to tell the tax man anything you do not want him to know, but legal not to tell him information you do not mind him knowing. So if you do not mind him knowing you earn ??500,000 a year you dont have to tell him you earn it lol.

Ive always found the drinking at 21 crazy! even though that seems the way England is going since you have to look 25 to get served these days.

I got id'd for the lottery while at a petrol station paying for petrol with my car keys in my hand! So you guys dont think im old enough to buy a scratchcard (16) but you are going to let me fill up my car with your petrol and go for a joy ride WTF?!

You cannot buy a gun at 16 here. Licenses are not required for ownership, though some localities make their own rules regarding some type of permit. A 16 yr old can own a gun with adult supervision, basically for use at a range or in competition shooting. An 18 yr old can own a handgun or a rifle but he can only buy the handgun from a private individual and not at a retail store until he/she turns 21. Carrying a gun and owning one are entirely different things here, there are only a few states that allow carrying a handgun without a concealed weapon permit, some states allow open carry while most only allow concealed with a permit. And we definitely can't go around shooting things up regardless of age.

The gun laws here are all based on misinformation and fear mongering, but they're better here than the country I used to live in.

Some states allow driving at 15, though there are restrictions either way. The thing to remember about the states is that each State can enact it's own laws as long as they do not conflict with any federal law, and each municipality can pass it's own laws, so long as they do not conflict with either state or federal law. This prevents the fat cats up in Washington from making decisions for citizens with whom they share no commonality and therefore no idea of what is needed in particular communities across the nation.

that's harsh twingoats but in Iran drinking is illeagal altogether! they treat alcohol like cockaine over there, if your caught in the act of drinking they even public execute you! they don't fuck around over there. the cops beat the shit out of you for stealing as well

actually pretty most of middle east drinking is ilegal

Iran's strict Islamic law forbids consumption of alcohol

A 19-year-old Iranian man has been sentenced to death by hanging for repeatedly drinking alcohol, local newspapers have reported.


The man, identified only as Davoud, had already twice been arrested and whipped for committing the offence.
Under the country's strict Islamic laws, drinking is strictly forbidden, and those caught are usually whipped or heavily fined.

However if caught for a third time an offender can be sentenced to death.

Yes. It is this way because you are more likely to hear the siren of an ambulance heading toward a car wreck late in the night due to DUI rather than a gunshot.

Yes, Pennsylvania is like that. I used to hate that. You can't buy beer in any gas stations, supermarkets, corner stores, 7 elevens, etc. Have to go to delis that sell strictly beer.

If someone injures themselves while breaking into your house to burgle it they can sue YOU! now that ones just crazy!
