sun conjunct moon relationship? will it always workout well?

My question is since we have some kind of sun/moon conjunction, Is that enough to make us an ideal couple?

Recently we had a little bit of an argument and he told me that lately we barely agree on anything and that we are somehow opposites. Even though I don't think we are entirely opposites but what he said somehow got me thinking. Are we really a good match? I though since my moon is the same as his sun that we could perhaps be soul mates...or maybe he said that because he was a little upset?

If anyone can advise me on our chart interpretation I would be grateful. I want to know if we are going to grow to be tiring for each other or a good match?

My last relationship was with an Aries sun, and it conjuncted not only my Aries moon but also Venus. It felt very comfy. But we only lasted three years, I think because of the Saturn square Venus and a few iffy composite chart placements.

You honestly can never put too much stock into compatibility with aspects. It really depends on how much effort both people will put in. Astrology can provide us a tool to see where we may have to work harder together or where things will feel easier. But if both people aren't devoted to the relationship and one another even the best aspects won't do you any good.

Another thing, in synastry/compatibility, the angles (ascendant, descendant, IC, and MC) and the north and south node of the moon are of great importance, more so than the planets in my opinion.

Marrried to a Taurus sun (Gemini venus) over a decade, I'm a gem sun, Taurus moon with Venus Gemini. We are still friends but no, doesn't always mean a romantic relationship will work.

Do you think there are other negative aspects that could have caused the relationship to discontinue?
