She has this song; I don't believe it was ever released to radio stations. It's called Serve The Ego, and it's very prolific (yet simple). I like it a lot. Kind of interesting the way it addresses the actual disco era and the "me" generation of the 1970s while also being very applicable to today's society as well.
You should get it if you can.
Here are the lyrics.
SERVE THE EGO
Mirror, mirror Do you like What you see? I'll dance for you If you dance for me Who says a woman Cannot serve? It would be my pleasure Who says it is Not my destiny To let you control me? Underneath the disco light Everybody's feelin' all right Get on your hands and knees And praise the new deity Serve the ego Serve the ego
Two ships sailing On a neon sea Eat the flesh Spit out the seeds Feathered hair And lame heels What turns me on Is so surreal
Underneath the disco light Everybody's feelin' all right Get on your hands and knees And praise the new deity Serve the ego Serve the ego
Tut tut, oh, to discover oh Oh no, you're yesterday's lover
Underneath the disco light Everybody's feelin' all right Get on your hands and knees And praise the new deity Serve the ego Serve the ego
lol... I love that song serve the ego... It's my favorite of that album... I can't wait for her knew album to come out... I read she said she did that song just so she could say "who says a woman can not serve" lol....
That's so Jewel. Interesting that it's your favorite song from the album, too. I like the sort of trance-like way she sings in it...makes me think of snake-charming music.
I saw her in concert in my home town last summer, and she was so funny, and suprisingly, she's tough cookie also. This woman in the audience kept shouting things at her, all drunk and stupid, while Jewel was trying to talk in between songs. And finally Jewel was like, "excuse me. When it's *your* show, you can talk. This is *my* show." And we all applauded. lol. She also made a couple more sarcastic/biting comments to the woman throughout the show, and it was funny. I like her gutsiness.
I like "Leave The Lights On" (track 4) the best... It's a good album over all... It's however very different from all her other albums... The songs are more along the lines of Serve the Ego... But not a lot of them are as good as that song. I like it though 🙂
another note, if you buy the cd, the download card is pretty cool too... but unless you have a really good internet connection, the movies are pretty bad.
Look at me, my depth perception must be off again 'Cause this hurts deeper than I thought it did It has not healed with time It just shot down my spine You look so beautiful tonight
it's a choir music. and it's long. but really good. to but it in non-musical trems as to the way it goes. u've seen a baptist sermon it's like that slow, climax and slow decline. it's really good. I'm a tenor. ttul
i just got a CD from an uncle/cousin person and he said it was good odd and tribal in a different language so I just put it on the other day and OMG it is sooo good!
I think the language is Italian and the music is sort of a mix between Enya
What are your favorite songs that sort of define your teenage years? Sometimes I hear something on the radio and I think, "oh my gosh, I remember exactly what was going on in my life and how old I was when that was popular". But I definitely have favori

is anyone else out there obsessed with music from this decade? I think it's one of the best decades in music history. And I love disco. I also love all the folk songs, like anything by james taylor, carole king, carly simon, the list goes on.
-they all have commercials on at the same time -you only notice the radio noise when the commecials are on, never when the music is on -the music is all repetitive-never anything new -the really r
too all that listen to all kinds of music including some hard rock the new linkin park cd is out and so far it is intense and pretty damn passionate with their art and music.
I really like most of their stuff, but I have like three or four or five very favorite songs that I am very partial to. Their voices are beautiful...did you know they were born either on the same day or one day apart? And they're both scorpios, which is
I heard this on some commercial for a car--then I looked it up and found out it's been done by a bunch of singers. Rod Stewart being one of them (dork alert, but it's still a kickass song)!
So, I'm obsessed with this new song they have out called "Seven Nation Army" or something like that. But I can't find the lyrics to it anywhere, not even on the band's website. Can someone help me out? I'd really like to know what the guy is saying. I
Here's a good one (and good cover songs are rare): "We Can Work It Out" sung by Heather Nova. Originally by The Beatles of course. It's nice, download it if you can.
Try to see it my way Do I have to keep on talking till I can't go on <
You should get it if you can.
