why do men find ferrari's, bentley's, maseratis, mclaren's, rolls royce's
so appealing?

price, rarity, the hours put into it, the beauty

same reasons why women buy diamonds

but i think its the effort put into by you or your spouse to buy this piece of jewelery for your beloved. think of all those graveyard shifts your spouse has to pull for this. and when you give it to your spouse or yourself it marks how hard you worked to make them happy and to show how much you cared for them or just make youself look rich.

that and you use jewelery in special occasions so everytime she looks at that "rock" shes remebers the special time you two had.

I don't find them appealing, there's no real use for them... except they look pretty. Of course any woman appreciates an expensive gift. I would rather get one expensive gift than a bunch of crap over a long period of time. I'm not saying it's necessary but if mi amore decides to get me something then let it not be something disappointing. Anyway, you don't need to buy your chic gifts to keep her happy, roses and cute details will do. Personally, I love trips to the mountains or to the beach or even just hanging out at the lake. I loooove going camping with mi amoree ahhhh... god I hate this cold weather!

My personal perspective about this topic is that some people "think" that they can "buy" someones attention by purchasing such things for them. On the other hand, people who accept such gifts are somehow accept that they sold? their attention? Do those people accept it like that? Do they feel "bonded" with some level of responsibility with their care to that person?

Isn't that reminds you someone?

A whore?

Haffo. I would agree with you if the man buys an extravagant gift for a woman... and in return she offers the man attention-- attention she wouldn't have given him had he not purchased her a gift. But if a man buys an extravagant gift for his girl friend, fiance or wife... is that the same? I think not...

Also, to the first question.. why do some women like diamonds/gold? Perhaps some women just think precious stones are pretty. I personally like jewlery that is unique...

In my opinion, jewels symobolize the love that a man may have for a woman. We are almost conditioned to want them as women. Some prefer the expensive, some the unique, some just like gifts...but I don't know ANY woman who will curse you out for buying them a diamond.

For an engagement or wedding ring...diamonds for me are a MUST! I remember when I was younger and we were so poor we couldn't pay attention, but my mother ALWAYS had her sparkly ring to remind her of how much my father loved her. That meant something to me...so I guess I want the same thing.

For weddings, engagement rings diamonds are tradition,"diamonds are forever" is the thing with that, they are pretty much the most beat it up stone without as many damages to it as with other stones,it's supposed to be symbolic for love and marriage. There are golddiggers which is what im thinking your getting at though so yeah,in that aspect they are selling themselves, really it just depends on the couple and what thier reasons are.

Golddiggers-really are more concerned with what they get in the money department so no they don't feel responsibility to the person=thay are doing it for the dollars signs. And there are men who think they can buy that stuff and keep women satisfied too, doesn't always turn out that way though when thier GF's get tired of them not being around or whatever so no it doesn always work for those people when it is just about those things.

Hello Everyone,
It's me Dreamy-eyez. I went to finally see my Capricorn pops after telling him about the frustrating effect he had on me 6 months ago. Judging from how his expression was the whole time, I never got thru to him and the
