As a Pisces, or maybe just a person with low self-esteem, I like to observe how people act and then try to absorb their personality and the way they express themselves. Do you guys also find yourselves doing this? I sometimes feel like I don't even know who I am anymore because I always like to change the way I speak, act, etc. I guess I sometimes don't know how to communicate so I try to mimic the way other people go about life. For example, if I admire someone who is serious, I become serious. If I admire someone who is fun and spunky, I try and go that route. But I guess I never truly found a way to express who I am.

I'm not actually depressed or anything, I just can't tell if it's my low self-esteem trying to make me want to become someone different because I don't feel like people like me for who I am...or if it's just me being a normal Pisces.

Do you other Pisces find yourselves acting like other people around you? I know since Pisces is the last zodiac sign and a general trait is that we have a tendency to have a little bit of each sign in us. But does anyone else actually feel this way? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I can relate to this, except for the low self esteem part. I like my fluid personality. The mirroring part is useful when meeting new people you really like. It doesn't last long, or change who I am for a significant amount of time.

A retired psychologist told me than personality is an illusion. You are born with a certain energy level and predisposition and then you become whatever the most significant people in your life think about you. You play the role you are expected to play. Yet he irritates people by putting them in a certain category. Don't know if he is a Pisces...he cannot stop talking at our philosophy classes, and so I assume he is a Gemini.

What is your Myers Briggs personality?

I do have a tendency to pick up and intimate others if I think they're better than me.

Pisces moon/mars
LOL at "pick up and intimate". It made you sound like a player 🙂
I've never dated, and neither have I ever focus on other girls when I'm focused on the current one.

That being said, I pretend to be many people that I know aren't me. What am I after all?

We are a mixture of all of the rest of the signs. We don't try on personalities so much as emphasize aspects that we value and yet already have within us. We do this at different points in our lives depending on what we need. Sometimes it's for survival as in being place in a new environment and needing to adapt. Most times, however, we simply do this because we are bored.
