George Washington and Jackson stand out most to me-George Washington was looked upon as the closest thing to a God in his time- a perfect man, and he was. Jackson was up there in public view also, being the first to advocate democracy in america, the adoration that others had for him was amazing, but alas nothing compared to Washington, who to this day has had the most unanimosity of The People.

Did you know that Andrew Jackson loved his wife, Rachel Donelson Robards Jackson, so much that he took a bullet to the chest over it?
Jackson's wife had been married to Captain Lewis Robards, but Robards was an angry man and he was mean to her and she didn't like him. So Jackson convinced her to marry him instead and they were happy. However, this kind of thing was looked down upon back in those days, so this lawyer, Charles Dickinson, started talking shit about Jackson and his wife. Charles Dickinson called Mrs. Jackson a "whore" and all this stuff, so Jackson challenged him to put his money where his mouth is and meet him on the DUEL field.
There, then men drew pistols, marched 20 paces apart and prepared to fire.
Dickinson got his shot off first, and hit Jackson in the chest. Jackson, hit hard by the bullet, steadied himself and shot his pistol in return. The bullet hit the asshole in the chest, only Jackson's bullet went straight into the guy's internal organs and killed him. Jackson was lucky, because the bullet that hit him became lodged in upper chest and didn't actually damage anything important in there.
So, in short, Jackson risked his life and killed an asshole because said asshole was talking shit about his wife.
