I can't shake this meloncholy feeling. It's been growing for about a year.
Where did you/ do you see yourself at 30? All the images I conjured of my house, small dinner parties on the back porch, fulfilling career, etc.
They aren't my reality.
I hate my job. Not the work.. the management/ the cliques.
My house.. older.. crayon on the walls..
Messes all the time. something is always breaking.
I feel like cinderella.
I don't look forward to tomorrow because it will just be more of today.
I want to take control of this. I feel like I'm wasting time.. muddling through.
Just getting by.. but not enjoying it.. not LIVING.
This negativity creeping in all the time is getting old really fast.
I want to change it all. Move. Start over. -
Good idea? Shake it up a bit - feel refreshed? Embrace adventure?
Or bad idea - you can't run from your problems.. they'll just follow you?
Thoughts?

Block negative people who make you feel bad. Fully. Find those ones who are positive and lifts you up. That could be a good start. Clear your mind. (do yoga or walk or drink tea or smth) think through what you want to do. Make a list. Follow them.

Don't try to realize all of them at a time. One new habit can be your own in about 3 months at a time. (I mean you cannot loose wait and learn another language at the same time). it is just too much of a change and you will stop one or both of them after few weeks.

If you decide to renew your flat, do that step by step.

AND LEARN TO BE HAPPY ABOUT LITTLE SUCCESS. (because that energizes you to go further)

I love this-- it's practical.

As for the negative influences, I have to apply that not only to people, but whatever it is that I immerse myself in.

Am I listening to things that only reinforce the tragedy of the human condition (music, movies, the stupid evening news, etc).

That has an effect-- garbage in, garbage out.

Do one thing at a time-- absolutely.

I've seen people that want to overhaul everything at once, and they try-- only to be overwhelmed, and then discouraged.

You have to be kind to yourself in the process. 🙂

And something that worked for me in the past, and that I should probably pick up again, is just exercise-- even if it's just a mile on the treadmill in the evenings-- not to lose weight, but it puts me (and keeps me) in better frame of mind.

The scenery doesn't change; YOU change.

One thing I've learned is that 'wherever you go, there you are'--

You go from having problems in a familiar setting, to having the same problems in an area that is completely foreign to you.

If you have something certain in a new area, like a better job, then it can be good-- but moving just for the sake of moving can end up being a hardship.

So yeah, like Pisceanpisces said-- start small; it'll be good. 😉

I started feeling this same way in 2012... I am 30 years old now. I did go and overhaul my life. I divorced my husband, changed my job, and started going out and partying. Honestly I would NOT recommend this process... it literally made me sick.

Luckily it was short lived.. I stopped myself and realized I needed to reinvent my ideas/life again. I am now getting more in touch with my spiritual side. Started volunteering, meditating, studying astrology, & surrounding myself with positive like minded people. I have found this has balanced me.

I honestly think Neptune our ruling planet coming in 2012 is what is influencing these feelings.
