I come from an ethnic family with lots of superstitions about things. I'm not as fanatical about it as some of my older family members are, but I do pick and choose what to be superstitious about.
Anyway one of my mom's many superstitions is "If you buy a man a pair of shoes, he'll use them to walk right out of your life." Sounds crazy, right? I've never bought a man a pair of shoes so I can't confirm nor deny that this happens. lol.
Do any of you have any superstitions about love that you believe in or that you've heard of? Just curious.

LOL!!!!!
No, I have not really heard any - if I have, I have not paid any attention to them. Personally, I think superstitions are nothing but silly thoughts that one can choose to buy into or not.
This will be interesting to see what others post.😉 cool topic pisc74!
Not really a superstitious person but I've heard a few. One of the more interesting ones I heard was not to look at the reflection of a full moon on glass. The other was not to look at a full moon through trees. It's said to bring bad luck.
"And this one which I believe when a man is down leave him down, he will appreciate you better when he gets up by himself.."
I haven't heard that one but it's a good one and tends to be true sometimes.
I wish my grandma were still alive so I can ask her some of the ones that I forgot. She was full of old wives tales and superstitions. Some of them were just outright crazy but alot of them made sense.
I'm interested in seeing what else people have heard. I can't be the only one with a grandma like this! lol
Btw, in case you were wondering, my grandma met my grandpa when she was 14 and he was 16. They were happily married 2 years later and stayed that way until his death at the age of 88. Maybe there is something to those superstitions?
I just remembered another one last night. This one's from my mom. It's not a saying, it's more of a practice.
You are walking down the street with your spouse/partner/lover and someone is walking in your direction directly in your path. According to my mom, you should NEVER let that person walk in between the two of you. It's supposed to be bad luck for your relationship.
My grandmas been married 5 times and divorced 4....soooo... Independent/gold digger if they ever existed in her time. I wish I knew her sign. If I had to guess...I'd say fire.
