Alright, so I'm a Gemini (sun) and Aries (moon) and he's a Pisces (sun) and Gemini (moon). We've just started our relationship and I've never been so close to someone so foreign to me. I'm used to reading people's emotions on their faces and by the way they act, but he is extremely difficult for me to read. And he shows, and tells me he loves me in different ways, yet I feel like there's this detachment between us. He told me he usually bottles up his emotions and has a difficult time dealing with them. I'm quite the opposite, where I like to tell anyone and everyone how I'm feeling. Yet there's something about him that I just find attractive. He's romantic like nobody else I've ever met, and we can have intellectual conversations about anything and everything. I'm just worried that this may not work out, which is likely, but I want it to. It's like I care about him but at the same time feel like I don't know him as well as I'd like to. He keeps me at a distance, which in some ways I'm okay with because I know how I am as a person and I may end up hurting him, which I don't want to do. On the other hand, I crave that closeness. He's told me he's pretty sensitive and that's part of the reason why he bottles up his emotions. But I'm so used to seeing raw, pure emotion that it worries me when he tells me things and I can't read him. I trust him, but sometimes I just get skeptical because I don't see that emotion there. I'm always open and honest with him (because that's just how I am) and he is with me, too, but I feel like it may not be enough.

Is there any hope for us?

Oh Gem's... you guys can be clingy at times. Speaking of a merfolk, dude we love to be close, snuggle and all that then bam leave the the hell alone, don't be under me I need my time and space.

Alright you seem to be a bit clueless about merfolk, which isn't rare and I'm not belittling you at all. Merfolk keep our emotions in check (if they are a mature merfolk) because our emotions change like the wind. We can be oversensitive and over analytical (which I think I'm more of this than any other merfolk because I have virgo in my communication house). So... anywho... we will self-sensor and keep this to ourselves. Note to the wise, you must get used to that. Merfolk keeps secrets and love to keep our shroud of mystery intact.

Merfolk NEED to have space, kind of like Sags and Aquas. We must have this time to decompress and get back to who WE are because we soak up so much crap from the outside world we have to maintain our core or we will become batty. Let the man go to his "cave" and recharge. If you don't let him, he will either get pissy at you or just become more reclusive because he will see you as holding him in. Think of a fish in a net... not good. We freak the hell out.

It is possible to read a pisces face you just have to be extra observant. It won't come easy, trust me I've been dating a pisces for months now and as a pisces I can read people like nobodies business, but I can't read him. We have numerous emotions running in us at once so yeah it is hard to pin our down. Just be patient, that skill will come and develop in time.

Okay.. pisces are extremely intuitive like aquas and taurus. So... if you think you have the potential to hurt him, TRUST me he has picked up on this as well and could very well be the reason why he is keeping you at a distance. People mistake a merfolk's kindness as they truly like/love you. Pisces are willing to help anyone and are happy to do so. How a person really knows if a pisces is into you, is *drum roll please* constant communication! If that dude talks to you all the time and tries to see you like once a week, he likes you. If he takes long breaks of being around you or talking to you and/or if you are always the one who initiates the conversation...forgetaboutit. Merfolk are like drifters we can be in our life a lot then swim away and then come back weeks, months, hell even years later and pick up right back where we left off. That is normal pisces behavior...we are always swimming babe.

If that man is always swimming near you pond... then he truly cares about you.

Communication is always important in any relationship, especially one with a merfolk. Just try to let him know that it is alright with him to tell you what he is thinking. This will help him feel safe and secure about you two and you guys can build from that.

I will say that Gems and Pisces normally don't work out...but that doesn't mean that it won't. You will just have to work at it. You guys think differently. So, you will have to cultivate your relationship more.

Good luck and I hope that I shed some light on the subject. Sorry for the long post.
