Well first off I think your both emotionall close bc you both want to be emotionally close to each other.

And second off yes rising signs in good standing makes a lot of difference in a very positive way especially if both
are ready to be emotionally close..

And we all know that most Aries and Aqua Suns get along well with each other..

I was just wondering. I didn't know his rising 'til recently and when I looked up Taurus and Cancer compatibility I just wondered if it applied to rising signs. I don't take it too heart I'm just curious about these things. I find it interesting.

Haven't read all of these, just the OP, because while I can't sleep right now I AM incredibly tired... but it's more important that your rising sign be compatible with the person's sun, and possibly moon [secondarily] sign because your rising sign is how the person will view you and your actions, while their sun [and to an extenet moon] will determine how they react to what they see.

i.e. you are an aries with a cancer rising - aries aren't really known for being compassionate and gentle... but you may appear that way and even when you're being blunt it will come across "softly", so a person with a sensitive sun or moon would appreciate this. A person with say sag in sun or moon might think you're too soft or clingy or some other overly emotional tag that they'll find annoying or get bored with.

This combo does work for you though because your aqua will appreciate the adoring facade you put off [aquas love to be adored - just not attached], while still feeling stimulated by your fiery arian nature. And you can have apparent emotional stability and sensuality of a bull without the possessiveness.

That's not to say rising sign compatibility isn't a good thing too - compatibility in any form is always good - and taurus and cancer are extrememly compatible; I'm just saying clashing rising signs won't doom a relationship if the other aspects are compatible with the rising. In my opinion you two make an excellent match based on the aspects you've given here.

And your emotional compatibility by the way would be based on your moon signs.

Personally I don't find that rising/sun compatability means too much to me. All my closest relationships or friendships (the most long lasting too) are usually in water/earth signs which usually wouldn't fit well with my Saggi rising or in Gemini whihc is opposed. However their moons are most often in fire/air signs which are compatable with my rising sign (the conjunct is particularly strong and the trine also comes up very often.)
