A friend of mine (aqua) was dating a libra male. Per the scales, he was wishy washy. One day, he wants to get married. Next day, he doesn't want to be in a relationship. The back and forth was tearing her apart and as a result, she was increasingly paranoid/nagging/worried/demanding. The more insecure she felt, the more he see-sawed. The more he see-sawed, the more she unconsciously sabotaged the relationship.
So one day i asked, "Would you propose to him?"
She said, "no."
"Well...STFU bitch!"
When it comes to the in-zone (ring/proposal), it's the guy (running back) who usually gets us (quarterback) there. The problem with most women is that sometimes instead of calling plays, we want to run the ball.
At the start of a relationship, recognize that you're not on opposing teams.
Think about it, if you get the ball and run to the in-zone, you scored a point...he didn't. So unless you're proposing, it means that you're either playing for the visitors or that's a safety and you just scored two points for the other team. So he's the one that scores and it's our job to help get him there.
Be smart QB. It's first quarter. Stop trying to throw a Hail Mary. On some plays you may gain 20 and 1st. On others, there's unexpected drama and you get sacked.
Remember the goal QB. It's about moving the ball forward. Strategically, masterfully. Not haphazardly or rushed. Don't rush a play when there's plenty of time on the clock.
Stay positive QB. Be comfortable with short gains if it means another first down. Who cares if all you get is 4 yard gains if you ultimately make it to the in-zone?
Settle down QB. When you're in the pocket, give him plays and routes he can use. Throw perfect spirals so he can catch it just right.
Stay focused QB. Keep your head in the game. There are forces out to bring you down. Don't let them.
Let him do his job QB. Your job is to get him the ball. You have trust that he's going for gains.
Give it to the hot hand QB. Get the ball to the player who's on fire! He's most likely to score.
So in your relationship, what kind of QB are you? Are you pushing the ball forward? Are you doing things to encourage him to move forward rather forcing him to fake an injury to get out of the game?
End zone. Running the ball is calling a play lol. There we go again with the in-zone Hahaha! You score 6 points in the end zone and then you can decide to either kick for the extra point or go for a two point conversion. End zone. It's actually considered a good gain if you get 4 yards on a rush. Overall, good stuff. I wish more people used football more often when they talk about relationships.
Honest mistake. Try incorporating more play-action and maybe mixing in some draw plays. That way you can mix up your offense and keep the defense on its heels. Also, remember to tell your back to block on passing plays. No one likes it when a safety or corner gets by unchecked because he missed an assignment.
well when i wrote it, i was noting errors like, sometimes it's good to rush a play to keep the defense off guard and if the QB has the arm for it, why not throw a bomb? plus it's not easy to get rid of a starter mid-season and replace him with equal or better talent. but it's a work in progress...
That's why you should have a capable backup if your starter isn't running the ball efficiently. You can't just have your workhorse carry the ball all season. Sometimes the backup needs some burn so your starter can get a breather from time to time. You'll eventually run him down and by mid-season he'll hit the wall and then he'll be no good for you. The main things you should do in football are run the ball and play defense. And you can't run the ball effectively if your back is down and out for the season because you overworked him. Let's not forget the O-line. Games are won and lost in the trenches. You have to be willing to get dirty if you want to win.
lord no. i can't tell you how many team sports discussions i've had with my guy friends. we've come to these basic classifications...
singles tennis = 1 girl/monogamous relationship
doubles tennis = 2 girls/1 is faithful to you, the other probably has a piece on the side too
basketball (pick up game) = up to 5 players/with point guard being MVP...gotta pamper this position. some players may be aware that they're on the team and proudly sport their jersey, others are unwittingly vying for MVP.
basketball = starters plus an active, yet revolving bench
