Anyone Pagan, or with ancestry of pagan roots? Or anything similar that is.

Since I didn't know where to post this, I've decided to post it here.

Now, I've been into mythology and all, but I've only found out a few days before that most females, on my mother's side, have been folk healers and have been dubbed as 'coprnica', or more precisely the village witch. Now this is interesting, because my whole family isn't religious but have had some "paranormal" experiences and have done tarot, and horoscopes, and damn, we even had some strange recipes run down through the family. And all the teachings about plants and poisons my grandma used to teach me... man. It kinda explains a lot, since I've drawn to anything... ancient I suppose. To the culture before Christianity and so on. Not only that, I do have two wiccan cousins, so I'm more or less interested what's it all about.

To end with this rant o' mine, I just wished to know, has anyone had any similar experiences? Are you a practitioner and what do you believe in?

Southeast Europe so to say.
Hello neighbour!

Slaveni.

I've always had an interest in spirituality and lesser known/followed religions and such. Native American spirituality is interesting to me, as is Celtic. It's hard for me to pinpoint what it is I'm interested in, as all of what I come across catches my eye. I don't practice any sort of religion though...I kinda just have random ideas from all over the place and I tell people I'm spiritual, lol... 🙂 One of my great-great (I think, idk how many greats there should be) grandpas was Irish, immigrated to the U.S. Also have a Native (Ojibwe) grandpa but no relationship with that side of the family.

Similar story, I discovered it some time ago. My grandmother told us fantastical stories back in the past, a bit too dark for children. I always have questions about them until I was told how everything was true, there were just some slight variations... my grandmother talked about the "bad" people as if they were aliens of some sort when apparently they were members of our own family.

I don't know about any practitioner as of today (mother's family is huge and lives all around the world) but I remember finding at some point a stash of occult books and questionable items like skulls. No idea who used them. I asked my father once and he told in a very grave voice how "they" killed people there (grandparents house is awfully haunted). Shouldn't have asked..

My family is actually religious, catholic but then.. South America can be strange. People are very superstitious there. I also remember having some really horrible recurring dreams as a child with lots of satanic imagery, including deformed "humans" having bloody sadomasochistic orgies. Think "Event Horizon".

I'm not religious myself, neither some members of my family. Funnily enough, I seem to attracted lots of pagans, magic practitioners, mystics... usually way older than me.

What's your Moon doing in your chart if you don't mind me asking?
