Parallax,
u are right, the power is lied in the belief itself...
If u wanna reveal something supernatural, u gotta make believe... if u trust your instinct, u'll know...
It's like the interaction of our body energy with the environment.. the power of our inner energy that interact with the nature and make it comes true...
If the energy is not strong enough, it won't be very accurate,
or u won't get it....
The fortune teller could only direct u, but in getting an accurate answer for yourself gotta depend on both of u. Sometime it's true that we may change our own life and sometimes it's true that we can't run away from nature play.

I think this is a great survey and everyone should respond.

Alright, here's me.

I may seem: Silly

But I'm really: Serious

Sometimes I feel: Unappreciated for the effort I make to be adaptable

In the morning I: Roll out of bed. Turn off the lamp I always forget to turn off before I fall asleep. Brush my hair and usually put it into a ponytail to get it out of my eyes. Make a cup of coffee. Turn on the news (MSNBC) just to be sure nothing catastrophic happened while I was sleeping (ever since I was woken up by my ex's phone call the morning of 9/11, I've done this. Weird.) Go outside on the porch and sip my coffee while smoking my cigarette. Thus begins my day. I also listen to the radio while getting ready for work, but when their programming sucks I put on one of my cds.

I like to: Write, watch old movies, imagine all the possibilities of where my life could take me, play guitar.

If I could be doing anything right now I would be: Having sex. More specifically, "making love". With my true love.

Money is: Important and necessary. But it isn't everything. It turns good people more good, and bad people more bad.

One thing I wish I had is: a really expensive, quality collection of guitars, acoustic and electric.

One thing I have that I wish I didn't is: A great fear of being betrayed...all the time.

All I need is: LOVE (dah, dah, dah-dah-dah) (Parallax, before you posted your answers I was thinking how I would respond to these questions and I was also going to make the Beatles song reference here. Believe it.

Love is: Decribed so perfectly and unusually and beautifully by Parallax, I know I could never compete with his answer. Hmmm... Love is the only emotion worth killing for, living for and dying for. It is the eternal, unshakeable, passionate desire to breathe the same breath as another, to crawl into their arms and remain there until ash turns to ash and dust to dust. It is the most beautiful state of being possible for a human to experience. It is all that truly matters.

If an angel flew into my window at night I would: Say something like..."I am so not ready to die yet, are you sure you have the right house?"

If a demon crashed into my window I would: Scare it worse than it could ever scare me.

If I could see one person right now it would be: My friend in Australia.

Something I want but I don't really need is: One of those home gyms they advertise on TV, like "The Bowflex". One day I'll have one.

Something I need but I don't really want is: a pair of brown high heeled shoes. Snore. But I really do need them.

I am afraid of: Spiders, actually most crawly insects, deep water, flying, extreme heights, never finding my truest of true loves, never having children, and definitely I am now afraid of "dying with my song still in me". I'm so glad you mentioned that, Parallax. 😛 (lol)

It makes me angry when: People take advantage of me. Gross men flirt with me. I see a child or an animal being mistreated. I see parents with a child(ren) and they have no discipline over the child(ren) at all. People want me to get involved in their childish drama.

Here on DXP, who would you like to meet and why?: Everyone, and that's the truth. And all for the same reason: to see who I've been baring my soul to for the past couple years. 🙂 I'd also like to meet the creator of the website, because, who doesn't want to meet The Creator? 🙂 But if you made me pick just one, it would have to be Parallax. Because we would speak entirely in Beatles code, and that would be too weirdly fun to pass up. Seriously though...he is highly intelligent, hilarious, and has never once even slightly condescended to me and has never at all offended me or been disrespectful or backhanded in any way. Also here comes the most over-used but

Thanks for answering my q's guys 🙂

Parallax, thank you very much for the standing invitation. I assure you that if I ever go to New York, I will ring you. We'll have a fabulous time. And if you ever come to...where I am...you have a standing invitation to come to our Pear Blossom Festival. lol. Here are my answers...

Darkest thought: That there is a slight possibility that after you die, absolutely nothing happens, you just cease to live and lie there, void of life, but you don't even know this, because you're dead. So all that time you spent trying to be good and do good things throughout life, was meaningless. (Dark enough? 🙂)

When nervous I: also can't eat. But if I'm really nervous, I can't stop moving around, either. I get really fidgety and find myself walking around a lot with no real purpose. lol. Also I get very clutzy and drop everything or run into things. lol.

Life partner: someone who, in certain ways could take care of me but manage to do that without smothering me with over-concern. Also he would be interested in things that I am interested in. He would be happiest at home with me but would also like to go on little dates with me. 😛 It would help if he could fix simple electrical things, because I can't. He must also be fearless and kill bugs swiftly showing no mercy especially if the bug is a spider.

"Everyone's a Winner"
The Rogue Valley's #1 Athletic Event

Saturday, April 10, 2004

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE - FIRST RITES OF SPRING

Celebrate - Join in the festivities of Southern Oregon's #1 Athletic Event - The Pear Blossom Run. Join your friends, neighbors and relatives on Friday at Packet Pick-up and the Pasta Feed. Begin Saturday by participating in one of four walking/running events; the Mayor's Mile or Two-mile, a Five-kilometer, or the Grand Daddy Ten-miler. After the race, watch the Pear Blossom Festival Parade, go to the barbeque, or mingle among many exhibitors at the street faire. Join the Southern Oregon Community in celebrating the "first rites of spring."

(So says the website)

When I was little I went several times, but haven't been now since I was 11 or so. I ran in it a couple times as a kid, then when I was in Girl Scouts I marched in the Pear Blossom parade dressed as an Indian (Native American I should say). We decorated brown grocery bags with crayons, markers etc then cut them out to look like dresses, then wore them for the parade. We even had feathers in our hair. lol. It was incredibly hot that year, I remember we had to take breaks and drink a bunch of water so we didn't get heatstroke. I think I was 7 or 8. Then when I was on the Dance Team & Color Guard in high school, I marched, twirling our oh-so-cool red and black flags. Then, the last time I went I was just an "member of the crowd" but I liked shopping at the little booths, I always love doing that.

In actuality, it's a somewhat cheesy event, I think. But some people are reallllly into it, like sadly into it. lol. I would go again, just to take in the atmosphere. You can sit on the grass on a blanket and watch all the madness. That can be nice.

Here's some cutesy history behind it from the website.

EVERYONE'S A WINNER - Since 1977 this motto has been the trademark of the premier running/walking even in Southern Oregon - the Pear Blossom Run. Nestled in the Cascade Mountains just twenty-five miles north of the California border, Medford is the site of this unique event, organized "by runners - for runners". A nonpaid committee of fifty persons organizes this community event held in conjunction with the annual Pear Blossom Festival; a parade, barbeque and street faire are part of the week long festivities.

Over 4,000 participants enter in one of several events, the 10-mile (1200), a 5km (400), or the Mayor's Mile 2/mile (2500). There is school competition with VCR'S and cash prizes awarded to schools with the greatest percentage of participants. The Mayor's Trophy is awarded by the Mayor and Pear Blossom Flags are awarded to those schools who achieve a certain percentage of participation. The out & back course is staffed along the way with students from several schools, rotary clubs, and local businesses. Radio stations provide music along with a local band.

The list of those who have been chosen to fire the canon at the start looks like a list of "who's who". Among the Honorary Chairman who helped found the event, father of the Nike shoe industry; Bill Bowerman, Olympian and one-time holder of every woman's U.S. distance record; Mary Slaney, the Governor of Oregon, Olympic Champion: Billy Mills, and the all time favorite of the "kids", Walt Disney's; Mickey Mouse. Past participants have included former Olympians and National record holders. Runner's World has listed "Pear Blossom" as "One of the Top Road Races in the U.S."

At the corner of Medford City Hall stands a granite monument with the Pear Blossom Run logo; it is dedicated to the 60,000 participants who have "toed the starting line" each and every year, in what has become known as the Rogue Valley's #1 Athletic Event".
