Exorcism

Of course, *one's own faith* not withstanding, here's a question..

..If God 'did not' exist, then real life exorcisms should not work or be effective, either. As well, the Tools used: such as crosses, bibles and holy water, etc. I have a question, though ..would other religions performing this 'holy rite' work, as well too. Or does do demons & devils only respond to (Christian faith) exorcism. Or maybe, my guess ..it's 'ONLY' a rite of (The Roman Catholic Church)

..just got to thinking after watching this true life account in *A Haunting*, where this family was terrorized by an inhuman entity in this older 19th century house. Psychics could only do so much. But thankfully was successfuly 'exorcised' driven away, by a Catholic Priest. Real exorcisms can only be done on people, so they had to channel the entity through one of the family members. Simple exorcisms can also be done, such as blessing a house, inanimate object or person. But in this case a full/real exorcism was needed.

btw, The Exorcist (movie) is still one of the scariest, i've ever seen. Plus the film, *The Entity* (true life account) really creeped me out, too! The auditory sounds were as bad, if not more than the visual..

Mystic .... that was a scary movie and so was, "The Entity".

Here's my take on this ...

I believe that the collective consciousness on the spiritual level of all people is our higher power, and not a god, at all, in the aspect that it is a single entity ..... rather, a collection of goodness, from all the souls who have love in their heart, due to our spirits.

so, to think about religious peoples, in all sectors that love, even in athiests, or agnostics ..... every person who "loves" in thier heart feeds energy into this collective power.

However, we are programmed to believe that a Priest, or a man of the clothe has this power exclusively .... so, if we are suffering an affliction, or a possession, we believe within our own minds that this man has the ability to cure/cleanse .. when in reality, it's really just pulling the power of goodness ... sort of like a Reiki Healer.

People are occupied by what's called a "Sit-in" quite regularly, which is having an additional soul that has entered the body .. this happens all the time. We just don't recognize it. It's only when a soul who doesn't have love, that it's acknowledged.

Think about this .... when someone who is normally pretty mean-spirited, or nasty .. if they suddenly get nice and sweet .. does anybody ever stop to think that they've got a Sit-in? Where did this sudden change come from? It happens all the time, these other souls that come to occupy .. some or good, some are bad. Any time you encounter a person who has complete changes in their demeanor for no apparant reason has a Sit-in .... our own soul that is the permenant resident is our conscience. We'll do something off the wall and then our conscience will say, whoa .. stop that, and it leaves?

So, because we have been conditioned to believe that god exists, then if a Priest comes to exorcise, then it's really our own soul who is a permenant resident within us, who believes that the Priest has this power, when really, we have it within ourselves and we WANT to believe he can do it because we want this entity out of us.

We can do anything that we truly WANT and believe we can do ... so, if we have a "bad" Sit-in, we don't know it's our own power, and believe the priest is doing it.

All's he's really doing is channeling us to do it ourselves, without us even realizing it ... because we BELIEVE it will happen via him, and so it does

Saints and Sinners, Good or Bad, Black and White? the list is endless.


The concept of the ?good? is the evil to ?evil?, like the evil is the ?evil? to the good.

LOL* Good question. In a similar vein, one criminal psychotic on tv had stated *he was guilty for his crimes, *but* not responsible .. 'other influences made him do it.
