I sympathize with your problem, as I was in a similar situation once. The thing that I have found through experience, is that no matter how much two people love each other, if they're not both willing to commit everything they have to making a relationship work, it will fail. Giving excuses, or "warning" someone about themself is another thing that some people do to avoid taking responsibility for their actions in a relationship - after all, they told you from the beginning they were immature/a jerk/non-commital. I was devastated when I figured this out the hard way, but I think that once you find a great person who is just as crazy to be with you as you are to be with them, it will be so much sweeter, and you'll be glad you didn't settle. I know I am 🙂 Hope this helps.

Hey I can relate to your problem. I have recently started a relationship
with someone who has been a friend for years. Its strange and different unique with the friendship thing coming first before that damn love/lust thing. But his life is very complicated and he is divorcing his wife. So there are many reasons why timing isn't great right now. So what are your friend/boyfriends reasons? Do they make sense or seem like excuses? That is what I would want to know. Good luck!!!!!!!
