IF it works, Leo, why were you dealt the blow handed you?
The Emperor's New Clothes?

This is the kind of thing that is wrong with the US - ideas and laws are passed one
on top of another and at some point, the mole hill becomes the mountain. And the
behemoth sloth becomes even more dysfunctional. I don't care what party you
may belong to, it's the perpetual stupidity on the part of the people that has
to come to an end - they really need to pay attention to what's unfolding and
make the necessary changes. - not just voting but by voting intelligently.
The change isn't going to change anything. It's still a sluggish government
and it's costing people their lives.
And people simply don't care or are too dumbed down to grasp.

I am so reminded of Ancient Rome.

I agree with that ^^ -- however, I would like to point out that the validity

of his birthdate has been contested for years, now.

I'd like to point out this thread. Which I am sure is not a figment of my imagination.

Agreed and good thread btw.

As for the birther nonsense, again, no other candidate and president in the history has been denigrated about his birth certificate. Mitt Romney and John McCain were both born outside the country...thats a fact...but President Obama's birth just happens to get questions.

I surmise that this tooics drives home Mr Firebird's point...voting intelligently. Until we get over things like bigotry, nothing changes.
