Scorp Friend

So, I don't know many scorps, if not any at all, but the one I do know I've known since I was about 15. Since I don't now many scorps, I generally don't know what they're like, but this friend has always been a ladies man, the center of attention, and one of the goofiest (in a good way) guys I know. He's always liked me; when we were younger, he chased after me up until he graduated high school (he's a year older than me) and he told me I was one of the hardest people he's ever gone after. I told him that I never gave in because I knew what type of guy he was, and it wasn't going to work on me. He was a big playboy, but over time, he's cooled that. The one thing he will do that many of my other guy friends don't is that no matter who he is seeing (and he's had a couple serious relationships since high school), he always manages to get back to me. And he often leaves me voice messages; they aren't romantic or anything, but random and entertaining. One time when I was really having a tough week or so, he tried to call me, and left a voice message saying I could speak to him whenever I needed someone to talk to. And just recently, he texted me out of the blue, asking how I was and telling me about his work and how he had just broken up with a girl who didn't understand him at all. So for the next few minutes, I comforted him, and when I mentioned I was coming home to housesit for my mother, he got very excited. He told me that he was saving up money for tickets for a concert and fun times; when I asked him what the "fun times" were, he said, "hanging out with my friend candy." I jokingly said, "there is someone else named candy? how interesting." He responded with, "there is, but I meant you dollface!" It was very sweet, but not beign sure if he was joking or not, I told him that he was wrong since I spell "candy" with an i (my name is Candice, so it is my nickname). He only replied back with, "I think you're sweet, so I call you candy."

I guess my question is, do scorps tend to hold on to people for long periods of time, even when they've been with other people? My feelings for this scorp have generally been platonic (and he knows this), but I tend to flirt with him sometimes.

He's probably diggin you a lot right now, as you are a challenge to him that most other women are not.

He's definitely been contacting me more than he has in a while. Each night since this past sunday, he has texted or called me. And each time, I just keep our conversation light and and playful as I usually do.

Yes, Candeh, Scorps are able to hold on to feelings for someone for a very long time. But, if its more than feelings, though!! I, a Scorpio, when I love someone and then I part from that someone, my feelings take years to die out. Obviously,
when Scorps fall in love, it's for real. That's why it is so hard to let go!

So, I just figured that if your Scorp friend has had this feelings for you for the longest time, then it really means that he's maybe in love with you—

When Scorpio loves, it stays there, but if it's only a mild liking or platonic feeling for someone, it dies pretty soon.

Lol, I think all of this was proved to me, tonight. He messaged me right when I was about to sign off and we just started talking again. Basically, our conversation was a lot of joking around and him paying me a million compliments lol. But in the end, what it amounted to was how much he appreciated me as his friend and as a person. Also, you mentioned that you think he loves me. Well, I think he was trying to get to that tonight. This is something he told me that I found interesting, because it reminds me of what you guys said that a scorpio will hold on to someone for a long time as long as that person did not do him wrong. I didn't know what to say to him when he said that, so like a typical virgo, I sort of rationalized the moment and pointed out his typo or made a slightly sarcastic remark. It humbles me that he feels this way, but it also conflicts me too.

I guess it just all gets to me because he does this sometimes. There will be long periods of time when we don't talk to each other, but then he'll come out of no where and talk to me like every day for a bit.

And there are moments like these where he comes at random moments and he's very emotional and open, and I don't know where they come from.
