When you like someone do you intentionally or unintentionally give them nicknames, or do you do that with everyone, I'm asking because this Scorpio girl (I like) has started to call me "love" while we are texting, does that mean anything or am I reading into nothing?

But yes, my Scorpypoo loves pet names. (He's into astrology too, and actually loves being called that). He calls me his Baby Apple and Snuggles lol.
He especially loves calling me that in public so he can laugh at me for turning bright red in embarrassment lol

I just wanted to thank everyone for their responses they are very helpful also @cunninglinguist: I would just straight up tell her that I like her but it's more difficult then that.

If I don't want to give the wrong idea I'll never say "love." saying that imo is hinting that shes interested. in which way? I can't really say but shes paying attention for a reason. One thing for sure is she feels comfortable enough to call you love and thats a good sign! 😉

Fiery - I really wouldn't read too much into it yet. Nicknames are generally terms of endearment but may not mean you're significant in that manner. Plenty of other ways to figure out that she likes you, yes?!

i have nicknames for everybody. i rename ppl and they just go with it. i once named this girl pegasus back in high school. i was looking at the roster too fast and came across her name. it was pronounced 'paguese' but outloud i went, 'what the hell is this? pegasus?!' we all had a good laugh about that. so from then on and all 4 years of high school, i named her pegasus. it stuck, and soon everyone was calling her pegasus. at first she was annoyed, but she knew she'd never escape that name. her real name was kanetria. didnt feel like saying all that tho.
she found out pegasus was a winged horse of mythology and became upset a little then. i still remember her saying "the damn horse got more fame than i do. what type of shit is this?' lmao.
I think that's endearing I like when people give me nicknames in general but I was just confused as to why this Scorpio girl would give me a nickname so quickly.

im'a call you mindy. from animaniacs. she asked a lot of questions and NO answer was good enough for her. 'why?' 'why?' 'why?' until the person got fed up and damn near went crazy. then she'd go 'ok i love you bye bye'. laugh and skip off.
