Someone that you love is in trouble. Response?

I've read over the years how Cancers and Capricorns never play nice when someone is trying to hurt someone they love. I've noticed from experience how over protective Tauruses get when danger is around them and their lovers, now I'm focusing on the Scorpion spectrum of protecting the one you love, blah blah. I'm in a relationship with a Scorpio and recently some girl had been trying to insult me, a pisces, and word got out of what she was saying to me. All of a sudden I found out my Bf was insulting her and basically stung her, to the point of everyone else feeling the pain with what he was saying to her. The situation is pretty sick really. I'm not angry nor was I hurt by the pisces' insult, but I didn't even think my bf would just stand up for me that quick, without consulting me about it. I didn't respond back to the pisces at all, but I feel bad for her and I'm all surprised at my boyfriend, but he did get me into a much bigger hole with the chick. It's not that I don't appreciate it, but why'd he defend me in the first place?

Is it normal for yo guys to defend a lover and also throw them under the bus as well?

I would have done the same thing if someone asked something out of context that was offensive, or was trying to hurt any sibling of mine. Though I wouldn't be so quick about it. That's what confuses me, how can it be so easy for them to defend their friends and families so quickly and with such sharp tongues. There was a point where I insulted an ex of my scorp and he didn't give me all the hurtful crap he did to the Pisces. I felt these words he didn't want to say, like he controlled himself because maybe he knew he'd scare me off? Idk. But this guy is so painful to watch when he's defending his loved ones.

My bf playing the defending me card, kinda is scaring me. It makes me wonder what he is capable of doing to someone that tries to physically harm me. I can see what you mean ellessque, I've meant plenty of Scorpios who connect with their family to the point of the Scorpios being angry every time a kin of their's is upset.
My Scorpio and I haven't been together long enough for him to even start defending me to that sort of extreme though, I mean we almost broke up the other day because he thought I was supposedly cheating(he has someone to spy on me for him... 😕).
Have you Scorpios ever gotten so hurt you just can't defend that person anymore?

Also, if someone tried to physically hurt you I say shame on him if he DIDN'T get involved.

I've met a few people with Venus in Scorpio and they all seem to be protective or guarding about those that they love, including my bf. :/ Probably the only venus I have come to understand, with mine being in Pisces.

Oldskook....we are very,very loyal and protective over those we love....you see, you can mess with a scorp all day long but dont you hurt the ones we love be they our children,our friends, our family, our lover...we are in no way capable of standing near by and watching a loved one being hurt....."The wrath" on a much more personal level, being myself...I completely cut you out of my life like a paper-doll...as if you never quite existed...the other party that set out to hurt me is the one left very hurt & I didnt do anything but cut negative energy out if my life....I dont play that game...as for my loved ones I empower them with words...on a much different level..so, olllllldscool....the fact that you even perceived my response in such a way might baffle one? One would almost ask how old you are? But one does not care to know..you see people can say whatever they like it is merely an "opinion" it all has to do with how one "perceives" it....your response puts you on a different page entirely ...regardless of how you "perceive" my response...point being....you mess hurt the people we love, you hurt us....the wrath...is simply walking away....=)....
