Weird Scorpio male

If a Scorpio male broke it off with you because he needed space because he's not ready for commitment, but wants to keep in contact and says he has feelings for me and thinks I'm a great person (he has done this once in the past and came back after an almost identical conversation) even adds "maybe someday things will work out" would he lie about this? Does a Scorpio male ever hold back in saying things that could hurt your feelings? I don't understand why someone would do things like this, I'd never tell someone I care about them after leaving them; to prevent any false hope.

He's keeping you on the string just in case he needs to dump his sperm whenever it doesn't work out with the woman he really wants.
Get out and date other men, life is too short for this mess.

Is he having self esteem issues? Work concerns? My ex would go into fight or flight mode when life became stressful. We just had a breakup( the first) a few weeks ago. Had a great relationship for 2 yrs then he got into a funk and we ended as friends. Has he ever lied to you in the past? My exp with Scorps is they usually tell you the truth as best they can. So if he said he cares then he does. Just move on with your life and if he reappears then evaluate if it's worth it.

This is where his voice would have begun to sound like Charlie Brown's teacher mumbling because I would have zoned out. Especially if this sounds like the same recycled speech he's used before. You need time to sort yourself out once, cool. A second time you have to ask "what the hell are you playing ' at?"

It may or may not be. Better question, are you willing to wait around for him to decide your happiness? Even if he means everything he's saying he doesn't sound like he's in a place to give you what you want.

Sincerity or not, his approach turns you into an option. It's your choice if you want to hold onto that title.

He is stringing you hun..... he has another prospect .... you are the back up.... He said he is not ready for commitment with you.

Yeah he is having really bad depression issues, he has trust issues as well and says he can't open up. To my knowledge he hasn't lied, he seems sincere.

He even said "maybe someday things will work out" I agree I'm an option in his eyes. I don't plan to wait around. This is just really complicated thus turning to dxp for some others insight. I'm trying to work on myself but trying to let go of feelings for him.
