why do sorpios get such a bad revue?

The intensity of strong scorpio types turns people off. There are alot of decent sorpios out there but it is the bad-ass ones that get all the publicity. Charles Manson, Bin laden (scorp rising) I have always avoided scorpios, when I found out i had a scorp rising I didn't sleep for a week. haha.

Just thought that I would throw a tid~bit about scorps and this will also apply to other signs as well. Two of my sons are scorps...however, one has his moon in Aquarius (he is more emotionally distant and reserved) the other has his moon in Sag (very friendly, outgoing and always has girls hanging around....he is the "buddy" of everyone).

They both are awesome guys, just two different personalities but both scorps. I have never seen them sting...at least not me they haven't.

Aprilbaby...I agree with you....meanness and cruelty are not good qualities in anyone and I will run for the hills the second I come in contact with someone who possess those nasty qualities.

hi aprilbaby, it is nice to hear that you enjoy scorpios in general. or that your experiences have been positive. i have felt the sting of many scorpios. maybe it's something in me that brings out the nastiness in them, i don't really know. from a very young age, when i wasn't aware of astrology signs, i had a difficult time getting along with (females especially) people born around halloween. that's why i was so shocked to find out i had a scorp rising. since this shocking discovery, i have learned alot about myself and other scorpios. i still have difficulty with the female scorpion, there are very few who like me or me them. maybe with time this will change. lynda

freebird, two scorp sons, you are lucky. meaness and nastiness are learned behaviors. i really like your comment about running for the hills when you come apon it. i have in recent years done that very thing, i used to just accept it, try to ignore it, make excuses for the nasty people. now i run like the wind. lynda

Freebird my misinformed luv, the animals think also chimps have language, yes they do, but most are godless. I have not the time to give evadeance right now but will later.

I have mentioned on other threads that my hubby is a Scorpio. He is a gentle giant. Drove me across country on his Harley for the 100th Anniversary in Milwaukee. My dad too was a Scorpio, and the daughter and father bond was so strong sometimes it bothered my mom a Taurus. My dad later divorced and remarried to guess who a Scorpio. WOW. Two of my very best girlfriends are Scorpio's and I am a Libra with a Scorpio rising.

Trust me when I say, yes they have a dark side at times, but mostly it goes away with Love and Time.

hi candlegirl, thank you for the insight, i never thought of it that way before. love. when scorps are nasty they may not be getting the love they need. i have posted in other areas that i have a scorp rising. the light bulb just lit up. there is one person in particular in my life who's behavior has always puzzled me. she is very complex and can be so nasty, selfish, coniving, rude. this makes her very hard to tolerate. but i have known for a long time she was not getting the love she needed or deserved. i just did not put the two together, her nastiness got in the way and my scorpio came out to play.
