PRO HOCKEY ..! OH YEAH! *it has it ALL; lightening fast speed - actually it's the fastest of ALL athletic sports, finesse, coolest moves, low scoring -so raw talent wins out here, not luck/time left on the clock so much, as in basketball..*What makes it/made it even better fellow Canadians, Sid The Kid-Sidney Crosby (Leo) and former NHL great Wayne Gretzky! (Aquarius) ..to name a few.
*Most boring sport, imho: Football, then curling .. *get me some water to boil..lol! =)
*Dark Horse Sport - championship boxing - enjoy a good title bout, every now and then.
One minor pet peeve though..lol ..is the NHL has way too many teams now - so now most games are played within your own league. How do you know who truly (is) the best team if you don't branch out more/mix it up and play the best more. Other than that.. *Yeah, Hockey rulezzzz! =)
Favorite Sports- College Football College Basketball Hockey Boxing
Least Favorite- Golf Curling- WTF is that? Polo- Again, WTF is that?
I played baseball in college and I still like playing it, but I hate watching it on TV. If I ever play golf please take me out back "Old Yeller" style . Love watching hockey in person. It's amazing.
LOL ..haven't americans in colder/snowier regions ever played curling? =)
..well, it's like throwing this smooth rock-like thingy with a handle on it down the ice and aiming for a center target, while helpers control the drift and speed by using these brushes. LOL* i know, that's why i'm not interested in it.
Polo is basically a European/english sport on horses, whereby players hold these long poles and hit a ball on the ground, while rushing and manuervering to score the highest points. This is a very upper-class/masculine kind of sport, loved especially by royalty. Prince Charles is quite good at it, actually.
Well, I'm glad that royalty enjoys the sport. I couldn't picture myself riding a horse and trying to score a goal. Maybe if I was allowed to play in jeans and a t-shirt instead of those uniforms then I'd try it. (:
Seriously, I also like watching Rugby. Do you watch Rugby?
How true, those uniforms looks sooo formal & tight! i've often wondered how they can bend down a million times, be so rough and not rip the wrong seam! LOL* =)
"Seriously, I also like watching Rugby. Do you watch Rugby?"
Actually, no not rugby ..haven't given it much of a chance. Though soccer i have watched more; it can be a pretty fun sport, and quite fast too. Just wished my country was a stronger contender on the international scene. But it's still fairly new here compared to the age-old history in Britain; hey but maybe some day! 🙂
I like all sports. You just have to learn to understand the sport to fully appreciate it. Most North American Sports are statistically driven, predominantly Baseball, Football and Golf. Of course Basketball and Hockey are stats driven too but these two sports rely more on a fast pace and end to end scoring opportunities. Whereas sports outside of North America rely more on old traditions. You can see this in most Soccer, Rugby and Cricket matches. You don't really see statistics playing a large role in these sports except for standings and rankings systems.
favorite sport is men's collegiate volleyball. i don't like watching the two-men team/professional volleyball. anybody saw the NCAA championship between pepperdine vs. penn state? paul carroll was awesome! (but his team didn't win 😢 )
