I know, that's what I said. BUT,I love AI, and I have seen so much maturity in him over the past years. He's a solid ball player that comes to play every game and will (literally) throw his body into every play.

Exactly how I feel about AI. The guy's a warrior through and through. He truly does deserve to win a Championship and soon too. He's aging and his body won't last that long at the rate he goes to the bucket. You could just tell that he's matured just by watching the press conference alone. Best part was when Joe Dumars mentioned practice hahahah!

DK, I'll get out AI shirts made up! LOL! Sadly, I'll catch flack, but I'm a Lakers Girl. Have been for most of my life; although, there was the 5 years I LOVED the Pistons (The Bad Boys - Isaiah, John, Bill, Joe, etc)!

Back in the day no one would screw around with Detroit. Elbows knees and jersey grabbing. Sad to see how the Association has fallen to such pussyfication. The Lakers are going to be a monster this season. That starting lineup is stacked. Have you seen Bynum?!?!? That kid's been eating his spinach!

Yeah, I'm gonna be pissed AND disappointed if the Lakers don't go the distance. Bynum is off da' hook. I've only caught two games so far, my schedule is off so I gotta put their games on my calendar.
The major Bad Boy was Lambeir(sp); he would be knocking guys out with his elbows! John Salley wasn't as bad, but Isaiah and Joe were. There was another one, but I can't think of his name. Oh, and Dennis Rodman - UNBELIEVABLE talent. Too bad he was whacked out. He rebounded like no bodies business. HE jumped out the gym. Sigh, the good old days.

The Lakers should win it all. They just need to bolster their bench. They need a go to guy they can count on when their starters are resting. That ever elusive sixth man every team needs to win.

Bill Laimbeer was such an asshole in the court that it was beautiful. He was dirty but not Bruce Bowen dirty. My god would that man destroy people in the post. I remeber reading somewhere that Phil Jackson said that Rodman was the best athlete he ever coached. I've also noticed that the best athletes in the world are usually the most cut-throat and the ones with the most screws loose. Take a look at Lawrence Taylor of the NY Giants of football.

Yeah, I remember reading that Phil Jackson saying that, and I saw them play in person and I was like "Dennis Rodman is unbelievable!"
Yeah, I think you have a point there about the "screws loose" , look at Ray Lewis -- I have this crush on him cause' he's scary! LOL! I would NOT want to cross that man, but you can see that he leads his team and that he scares the other teams shitless!!!

Ray Lewis is one scary mofo. In his prime he was probably the most feared middle linebacker in that time. That Ravens defense sure did stop a whole bunch of teams night in and night out. Ray lewis, Brian Dawkins, Shawn Merriman and Troy Polamalu scare the crap out of me. Lewis is obvious why, Merriman is just a psycho on the field and Dawkins and Polamalu are so reckless in their tackling it's absurd. What's worse than getting hit by a 200 + lb. dude? Getting hit by a 200 + lb. guy who doesn't give a shit about himself when he hits you.

BUT, I thought it was buillshit to trade CB for AI -- only because we got a championship with Billups, its not his fault they haven't been able to repeat that. AI won't make a difference in my opinion.

Plus, Billups and Rip were the BEST back court in the NBA, the fact that Joe Dumarrs destroyed that upsets me greatly.

When I was in high school there was a rumor that AI was coming to the Piston's so he was going to get here regardless.

Yes, I mis Billups, its hard to watch the Piston's now because I can't STAND Iverson -- he's good don't get me wrong but he's an arrogant ass jerk.

Not to mesnion he was the reason why we looked like pour in the 2004 Olympics :O

I really hope Sheed keeps Mr.Man in his place during the season ...
