Hey everyone,

Time goes by soooo fast, treasure and appreciate the people in your lives. (even if they get on your last nerve.. 🙂) because you'll never know when they will no longer be around.

I'm feeling kind of sad today. I lost an ex-coworker and an long time neighbor on 9/11. It seems here in NY that somebody knows someone that knows someone who lost a loved one.

I'm only a couple of train stops away from ground zero (formerly WTC). I was opting to stay home today, not out of fear but out of respect but decided to come in today.

They are wondering what to do with the site area. Some politicians want office space. Come on and give me a break treetrunk the economy! More decent individuals would perfer a memorial, which in my opinion seems to be more suitable. I mean think about it, would you want to work or conduct business on a site that once was WTC. I would fell sick to my stomach just coming into work everyday by the near thought of it. A park memorial, museum of some sort, etc... with a wall with the names commemorating those who lost their lives would be more appropriate. That's what I would call honor for them and their families they left behind.

To everyone out there, whether you live in NY or elsewhere God bless you, keep your head up and I hope that you are doing well.

ML,

I am so sorry about your losses.

Your post really touched me.

I mentioned on another post that all I could do today was lay in bed watching the specials on tv and crying and crying and crying, all day and all night. I know that's so incredibly unhealthy : ( ...but then I lit all my candles and said prayers for the people who lost people, and the whole country.

I feel so depressed, but we will be okay.
