Bossy or controlling taurus man

This is a question about a taurus guy I used to know. He was always telling me how to dress and what to do - telling me my clothes were bad, my hair needed to be this way, i needed to wear these shoes, I needed a better bag. He would criticise my intelligence and education and whenever I said anything he would tell me I didn't know what I was talking about - all the while saying we were friends. He would call me gullible and naive, all under the guise of "helping me" to be better.

If I ever said anything back, he would say I was hypersensitive and then criticise me for that too.

We weren't even dating, he was just a friend. Is this a taurus trait or just this one guy? Also why would he be like that? It was really upsetting. I know a lot of taurus but none like this.

the behaviour you described sounds possessive. like, this guy lacked boundaries. and most likely saw you as a 'daughter' figure. was he older than you?

the tauruses i know are quite domineering. so i think it is a trait, but the more immature ones act like the guy you knew.

Nimbue - yes he is 10 years older than me. Most of my friends and my partners are older than me.

Ah yes, my Taurus man tried to pull the "telling me what to do" act when we were first together.

I answered with "I will do, will wear, will go and will act however I please. I'm a woman, not a child. If you don't like it I'm not forcing you to have me in your life. Cut it out or piss off".

He doesn't do it anymore 🙂
