So Im cap, have known this taurus male for a couple of years. The first time we hooked up then he got into a relationship. That ended a while back. We have re connected. This time it feela different we can hang out with no need for sex. Recently he opened upto me about his personal issues and has taken me for dinner.... But the hot and cold of texting and meeting up is still happening I need advice on what to do and what everyone thinks of this situation.

My advice,

You're an 'after-thought', 'a safe bet,'.....and now he's insulting you by friend-zoning you without the booty benefits.

Tell him, look, you want someone to confide in, call your Mama, your shrink, or have a night out with the guys.

I'm not that person.

Ask yourself this OP,

If you needed someone to confide in about your personal problems, would he be the to-go-to person to confide in?

If the answer is "no."

Then you have already answered your question.

How long have you known each other?How deep is your friendship? Do you know the circumstances surrounding his break up and how long ago that was?

We have know each other for about 4 years. Its gotten deeper since his recent break up. Yes he just told me about it and theu broke up i think about 7 months ago
