you're overthinking.
it's just a male vs female miscommunication.
he mostly likely talks if there is a purpose/intention to it (stereotypical masculine way of communicating). he assumed you did the same. you called just to chew the fat (a more female way to communicate).
stop looking for problems where there are none.

Thanks! I was hoping you would reply. I should have just stated my intention which was to ask about a meeting he had and just update him with my situation. I stupidly chickened out thinking it was a silly reason.

understandable. those early stages are difficult to manage.
neither person is really showing all their cards. there's a fear that somehow it's all going to fall apart so neither tread too heavily.
at some point you both will drop the pretence and let it all hang out. but be confident! easier said than done but he likes you as a person. just feel safe in that knowledge to be yourself.

you can't spend the next 40 years walking eggshells. at some point you have to say this is me. get onboard now or stop wasting each other's time.
I wouldn't overthink it...probably just double-checking to make sure it wasn't anything urgent...if ever I know someone is like waiting to tell me something even semi-important, it drives me insane....like if I get a text that says "need to talk", I will call immediately so I don't have a panic attack....

Yes actually. Things are completely different after speaking to him that first time. He’s much more receptive. Clear he’s being a bit cautious still though. We were meant to meet last week but I was sick and he’s been in Prague for work this week.

Lol trust me, Earth signs lahv to laugh and Taurus ESPECIALLY lahvs to laugh, they are just soo00oo kind of, I wouldn't say shy, but usually just reserved in public. They know who they're close with and yah. You usually only rlly see like their authentic ~ moments when they're #intoxicated lmfao!

That had crossed my mind which is why I asked to see if anyone else has dealt with that before. He probably did need to know what it was about before he had an attack too 😂
