What is Taurus Anger?

My friend who has an infant Taurus girl and most recently had an Aries boy made a keen observation about her young bull. The Arien was delivered via c-section so she's unable to maneuver much as far as attending to the older/heavier Taurus. She said that when she picks up the Aries (he's light so she can manage), the Taurus will look at her as if she's been mortally wounded. It's as if she is observing/taking note of the fact that now when she needs mommy, someone else comes to pick her up whereas prior to the new arrival, it was mommy who was always the first responder.

In fact, little Taurus observes that when she's crying for a bottle, to be changed, whatever, mommy is the first to enter the room but instead of picking her up and consoling her as usual, mommy has the audacity to turn her back on the bull, leave and send someone else to render aid in her stead. Even their night time routines have changed. Usually it's mommy who comes to lay her down, but not any more. For some reason it's daddy and wait, why is mommy taking him into their bedroom and the baby bull is left to sleep alone—

One morning after about three weeks of this Taurean neglect, the little bull was on her way to daycare and for the first time in her one year on Earth, she pulled away from her mom and avoided her kiss goodbye. The look was that of, "Don't you DARE touch me!"

Ahh Taurus, gotta love us. Now to the point...

I have heard it repeated here that Taureans are angry and for the life of me, wtf? If you google "Taurus anger" most of the links are about how slow to anger we are and every astrology book I've read echos this. In fact, Taureans notoriously have very few explosions in a lifetime but when they do, it's tantamount to a simultaneous Plinian volcanic eruption and an earthquake that's off the Richter scale...including the aftershocks. So am I missing something? If it's rare, how are we perceived as angry?

Maybe what others see as anger is actually Taurean brooding? Where we rarely get to the "seeing red" stage, when someone has done the unforgettable, we brood/pout and become silent...at least I do. I'm much more likely to freeze them out than engage in an explosive display. Where Virgo ceases communication, I will continue to engage, albeit coolly.

Is this the anger that others speak of? Does silent detachment = anger?

And for the other Taureans, is this how you generally process hurt? Rage or brood?

True that Taureans dont get worked up to a fiery rage too often but all small things that irk them build up one after another over long time periods and and all this bottling up of resentment finally makes them blast into an all out ALL-DEVOURING EXPLOSION. When pissed off Taureans often use physical violence. Whereas most other sun signs warn first in their own way with verbal barbs and then finally when nothing works they may resolve to physical violence. But not so with Taurus, they wont even hint at a sign of displeasure as they are slowly reaching boiling point, u'll just find out that they are angry and insulted when you suddenly feel a fist cracking your jawbone, or when you end up on the floor after being gored into the wall by an angry taurus. Most taureans truly try to avoid all types of confrontations but dont back down when they feel one has crossed limits.

The fact that Taurus seldom lets anyone know of their seething inner resentments towards someone or their actions, the offender continues to make the same mistakes until its too late or should i say until they get hit. I guess this is the taurus anger most refer to.

i guess in the bull theory, taureans use their fists but i've been in like 3 fights in my entire life and all of them mofos were asking for it...sans one. i have plenty of taurean (female) friends, only one is (was) a scrapper.

violent tempers don't have to come to fisticuffs. i'm not saying taureans don't fight but if anything, my explosions are more likely to be verbal than physical. if a man is involved, sexual...but that's another story.

Yup, that's just about the way the cookie crumbles ??_ It takes a LOT to get me upset or angered, but once I am — it's over. Period!

Just an fyi, I'm a lover, NOT a fighter, but I will knock a biatch out, if warranted - I'm not saying...I'm just saying....

at this age it has to be a heinous violation. like one of my cousins was mouthing off/bucking up to my grandmother. i'm ashamed of what i did to that poor child but if my gma was younger she would've put her through the floor herself. i was merely assisting the elderly and i didn't even get a merit badge 😛

in retrospect, the times i did get physical it was "without warning" but hell, what warning do ya need ta give? "hey, my fist is about to be in your face!"

you know how some folks will mouth-off? lots of posturing? not i!

i was completely tranquil beforehand and yes, i did throw the first blow in each instance. say whatever you want at a distance but if you get in or near my face, i got yo bitch!

now if that's what avalan meant, yeah, maybe that is a taurean thing.

Grounds for early dismissal - the end! Don't talk back to your elders; children should be seen and not heard; ask permission before you run amok. If I say no, then the MF'ing answer is HELL NAW! Finally, when it's time for you to go to bed, there is no meandering about and wilin' out, take your a $ $ to bed. In my day, you didn't have to go to sleep, but you needed to be quiet and stay in your damn room! Further, I tried to run away one day, my mom was like, "Oh, let me help you pack!" That's the way ish is run...in my household!

classic! i dunno how i will be with my kids but i agree, i have very firm opinions on what kids should/should not do. and getting them to do as their told should not require me to sweat, yell/scream or get a "switch" (as we southerners say). a firm voice should be enough because momma don't play.

now as far as the comedic standoffs, maybe it's a cultural thing? my brother was about 12 and he was lying on his bed saying that he wanted to kill himself because something happened at school. sag...drama!

anyhoo, he tells me to go get a knife so he could slit his wrists. when i refused he said, "if you love me, you will go get me a knife."

now my dumbass of course goes to the kitchen...to tell my mom.

i go to my mom (leo) all distraught and scared that my brother was going to off himself and you know what she does, she hands me a butterknife and says, "tell him to use this."

i of course took it to my brother because i loved him a see. long story short, hilarity ensued...

HA! still cracks me up to this day.

LOL...your story is soooo my big sister. She's almost 34 years old and still behaves in this way with my parents, only on an adult level.
I find anger manifests differently in each bull. My sister can explode quite easily when you are not doing what she wishes you to do (hence we are no longer speaking, lol).

My bull husband is the slow to react type. But, once there, watch the fuck out.
You all seem to be very ME centered people. But, maybe the anger looks or comes out differently in males than in females??

I'll concur, speaking for myself, I can be "Me" centered, but you best believe my family, friends and man have just as much if not more than I have, because while I may think about myself - first and foremost, I am ALWAYS there for them in anyway that they need. So, in some respects I feel I have to think about myself first, because if I don't, who the hell else will, and to add to that, since we are Earth signs, many, many, many people look to us and rely on us to get them through damn near everything, so if we let them drag us down into the ground with no thoughts for our own welfare and well-being, we would be useless to anybody - including ourselves. Just my .05 cents - inflation increased that from .02 😉

btw - when I spoke of my "man" that was in terms of when I'm with someone; since I'm currently not 🙂 Just didn't want there to be any confusion.

Just to be clear, I don't nessasarily see that as a negative, just a fact. Aries can be extremely ME centered as well, but I think in a different way. And you are correct about depending on them to get through...not sure what I'd do without my bull's ears (when he can manage to take himself away from the clouds, lol) 🙂
But, he's rarely concerned with what I'm doing, thinking, or feeling. It's just about what's going on with him. I guess it can be a negative if you are a person who needs more than just a roomate.

Well, almost ALL of my female friends are as you described in this sentence, " he's rarely concerned with what I'm doing, thinking, or feeling. It's just about what's going on with him."

I was just commenting to my mom about this the other week. The large majority of my female friends will call, and barely can ask if I'm dead in a ditch, before they launch into 20, 30, 45 minutes of verbal gushing. My male friends on the other hand, 90% of them will call or see me and want to know what I've been doing, and how I'm doing, and it's also more of a conversation with us exchanging in the dialouge versus me just going, "ummm, hmmm, ummm, hmmm...oh really, hmmm, ummm hmmm, umm hmmm." That's why I don't even really talk to a lot of my female friends to much anymore. I recently moved states, and it further helped me to clean house (which I started about 5 years ago).

In respect to your husband, I think that relationships typically have different dynamics than friendships, so as you are alluding too, your expectations for him to listen and be there for you (not saying he's not, but just responding to your comment) is very important in order to maintain the communication in the household since you live together. Relationships are funny little creatures...

It's not pretty, but I suppose it could be seen as being entertaining!

for me, it's a selfish form of selflessness. where a virgo might offer to "help" willy nilly. they often do so with expectation...not an immediate reciprocation mind you but they're definitely filing it away under "things i've done for you." also where they are VERY particular/"perfectionists," when you spread yourself thin, you're not as exacting as you claim to be. BUT, if you want immediate help, contact a virgo because bulls don't volunteer.

bulls have to be "roped in." meaning, if you want help, ask and even then, do you really need me? i don't read minds and even if know my assistance is needed, i'm no mother theresa. this lack of volunteerism is not exactly due to selfishness. true, i might be given to laziness but...

i feel like when i get involved in someone else's stuff, i take as much ownership in the project as they do. i want to get it done, i want to get it done right and often times end up being more invested in it than i desire/should be. once you even remotely give me the reigns, i'm getting in the driver's seat and you come with or you get left in the dust. and this is where i think bull's go above and beyond when compared to virgo.

i just got finished helping my friend move. it was me and two other virgo fems. it was the taurus on the floor scrubbing the "uncleanable" tile clean. the tau that muscled the rusty fittings, spackled and sanded the walls to the point where "you'd never know..." i was the one who noticed that this door wasn't painted and that this/that needed to be done and how it could be done...correctly.

when something was "too much work," it's i who said, "move, give me that." and what irritated me beyond belief was, "i'll get so-and-so" to do it. "so-and-so" of course being a man. it's one thing if i can't do, i'll get someone else but if i can, there's no such thing as "it's too hard." GIT ER DUN!

when you get me, you get ALL of me. what's your project has become mine so i don't really expect anything after its all over. i had to finish because it's more about me completing a task than helping you.

so for taurus, ain't no half-steppin. once we have momentum going, nothing can or will stop us. we just have to get the momentum going and therein lies the rub...that's what some may see as our being selfish. how do you a get a bull going? but once we get going, rarely are we asked to stop 😛

That right there is the truth. I'll pass up on eating and rest and work myself to the point of exhaustion sometimes while other people are working half-assed, moving twice as slow, and still wanna take long breaks in between. Just takes me awhile to get off my lazy ass and geared up to go.
