give the man, obama a chance. it was under bush that we were attacked (and so he attacked the wrong country). it was under bush that the banks wrote shoddy loans and were allowed to slice them up and re-sell them. bush was a mass weapon of our destruction. so now after 8 years of having that numbskull as our "leader" we want instant gratification?

AMEN! Our country is all about wanting it now, now, now. Well, we've been in a butter pile for years now and miracles aren't going to happen over night. I often wonder where we would be if the conservatives would have kept power...what would they have done differently?

We are not stupid well most of us aren??t we understand the topic but there are lot of people on this board with there Mother or Father head on. This topic really sucks...It actually angers me. As others have said Murders (some) minds are wired incorrectly... There's plenty of others things in the world to have empathy for.

I'm not sure it's a question of empathy, but more understanding. I feel that the more we understand why the people are the way they are, we can determine how best to prevent and help treat such awful things like this. To just dismiss them as gross or sick treetrunks isn't enough, in my opinion. I think Libra Sun does a service to us to bring up such a topic. It may make others uncomfortable, but that's just life. The more you know, often the better you will do.

And yes, there are explanations for serial killers, as well lol

I don't believe in good and evil.

Nor do I Ms. P...
I believe in sick and well and these folks are sick (in the head that is). I believe it's a form of mental illness. I concur with your thoughts, LibraSun.
Please tell me you said something back that made her head spin?? You are so clever and witty, I'm sure you didn't leave that one alone!
Now, go run for office! LOL
I saw this on CBS Sunday Morning yesterday and it gave me hope. What do you all think?

Nope Nefer...no worries. I did want to know it all! The truth can be scary at times. I appreciate your story and just hope mine doesn't turn out the same
Jesus Nefer!! You just described exactly what I'm scared about It sounds like all ended well, but what a journey.
I do appreciate your response though as I want to hear it all! Thanks...

I've had some training for dealing with Placenta Previa at term. It's good that your doc is aware of it so it won't be a emergency situation dealing with it at term.

I'm just wondering about my activity level. All that I read and hear from other moms is that they were put on some sort of limited activity...at the least pelvic rest. But, doc says no need. It's hard to trust these people, but I know I should...

were you planning on a c-section or natural? Have you discussed this specifically with your doctor?

if you are having a c-section it will not be that big of a deal. It could prevent you from having the baby naturally.

so many doctors jump to c-section these days. placenta previa would make a good reason for a c-section. Usually towards the end of the pregnancy the placenta moves back in place, in some rare cases in doesn't. However, you need to make sure this isn't a reason to convince you to get a c-section.

Well, it's my first, so natural with plenty of drugs, LOL!
I do not want to have a c-section if it's not completely 100% nessasary. For one reason, I can't afford it and for the other, it's just done too much and I don't want to be cut open.

I sure hope it moves and I don't start bleeding in the meantime. My biggest concern is that they will have to take the baby early and/or the placenta will start to detach which is BAD.

Thanks for the info!
Hey all!
At my 20 week appointment my ultrasound showed I had partial placenta previa. Has anyone else had this and if so, what was the outcome? I keep reading about it and see that most women are on reduced activities including NO sex (poor husband!) But, my doc said no restrictions.

I'm trying not to worry about it too much, but it's difficult. Can anyone relate?

Congrats! I'm 5 1/2 months. How are you feeling? I was in hell for about 2 months, but doing well now.

...why is it o.k. to burn a Qur'an in the name of free speech/rights, etc, but it's not a person's right to build a mosque anywhere they please

1. "rights" were never the dispute.

2. you make it sound like burning came first, when it was the building that came first.

I understand your question, however, you are attempting to slant perception by imposing suggestions in your favor ... just like the media people cookiemonster about.

I'm saying that "rights" got into the dispute. I kept hearing this pastor had the "right" to burn the book. Yes he did. Should he, probably not? Just like building of the mosque is a "right". Should it be done? Probably not. I'm not trying to slant anything. I'm trying to bring up the fact of it being a double standard on the side of the right.

I didn't read the whole thread... so, if any of this was said, I apologize for the duplication!

Who gives a flying rats ass if someone burns a book... I was raised Christian, but I could care less if someone decides to gather up all the bibles they can find and burn them. The book does not make the religion, it's the believe system that has been passed down for generations and how people internalize those teachings and act within those constructs. The book serves as a reference regardless as to the religious affiliation. As for the book, more will be printed.

Also, someone mentioned something about people/terrorists/whomever burning American flags. Ok, well, that is the proper way to dispose of them... so, we can throw it back in their faces, if they're getting rid of American flags, they did it the proper, and respectful manner. I really could care less about their intent - throwing them in the dumpster would have been disgraceful by American standards.

In any case, my point being, people make too big of a deal about these insignificant, trivial happenings. We should all care less about what someone does to some object regardless of what it is supposed to represent; burn my bible, burn my flag, big fricken deal, it does not effect me as a person nor my civil liberties (if we really, truly have any... or, is it all a farce?)

I see what you are saying, but I think you may be in the minority regarding being offended if the bible was burned. I guess it comes down to common decency and respect for other religions. It's not insignificant if our troops are in more harms way because it's done.

And yes, it's a farce!

Aqualeo is on most days a pain in the ass and annoying but I do think she is asking hard but interesting questions. Some Men have been known to cheat on their wives because they found them unattractive during pregnancy. It isn't right but it has happened. Why personalize it?

I think the reason why Aqualeo is getting so many negative responses is because of the way the original post is worded. I'm sure had the question been asked in a different manner, people wouldn't be like, "WTF?" From my perspective, the incitement derives from two things: (a) Aqualeo flat-out states that pregnant women are disgusting and, (b) The tone of the post implies that Aqualeo thinks it's perfectly reasonable for a man to cheat on of his wife or girlfriend while she's carrying his child if he doesn't find her attractive anymore due to the pregnancy.

That's going to ruffle some feathers. And, in my opinion, understandably so.

Thank you! I'd love to be just as rational as you were, so thank you for speaking for my hormonal ass

Personalize it? Have you even been pregnant?
Lately I cannot even stand it when my husband comments on another woman when I normally would give two butters less. Interesting question? It's the dumbest question I've ever seen on here and they are a complete moron for even wondering about the answer.

That's why her question is interesting. . ^That says it all.

And yes I have never been pregnant. Big treetrunking deal. Also, why does it bother you when your hubby talks about another person if what Aqualeo said is untrue? Think about it.

The responses so far have been interesting to me.

What says it all? Sometimes I feel insecure about my looks, but that doesn't mean I'm an ugly, fat, smelly prego heffer.
I didn't say TALK to another person, I said comment. Like we are watching T.V. and he says something about another woman.

Maybe if you had been pregnant before you could understand where I and a lot of these other women are coming from. Once you get pregnant, everything changes. You become this different person. You are carrying another life; a life you and your man created together. It's difficult to explain to another who's never experienced it before.

You as well said it's not right, so I'm confused why you would be defending her stupid inquiry.

O.k...maybe it's my pregnancy hormones, but I'd like to kill this person!
Big deal? It's this a treetrunking joke?

What the father has to go through? You have NO idea of what a woman has to go through...no clue what so ever. You have no right to even complain one tiny bit about your poor woes. Give me a treetrunking break.

Is this poster a male or female?
For me, it takes a while. Because our anger is short lived, it seems we have the tendency to forgive somewhat quickly. But, if it's been a while since we've spoke or seen each other, the less likely I am to start the relationship back up...you have to make the effort. We may forgive quickly at times, but we never, never forget. This is what usually gets me into trouble. It's difficult to forget what bad happened with that person and I tend to harbour it.
When I say a while, that also means that I will usually allow several attempts at the relationship before finally giving in.

I agree with heroic guy...disrespect is number one. I also have no issue with confronting you and letting you know how I feel and how you hurt me...why sweep it under the rug?
If I really love and care for you, it's doubtful I will get to the cutting off point, but it has happened before.
