Need a man's perspective. I've been great friends with this guy for over 2 years. We grew up in the same area, but live in different states now. Despite that, we get along great, talk couple times a week, see each other often (about every 5-6 weeks) and meet up to travel together as well. People even ask if we're dating! He's very selective so I know he would not spend this much time with just anyone. And at times, it seems he'll try to tell me something, but then he either hesitates and drops it or says whatever it is in a round about way that leaves you wondering if he meant it as friends, or if he's trying to tell you something more. Just curious if men can typically have platonic relationships with a woman like this? He's never once made a move. He talks and jokes about other girls to see my reaction, but in the end he always comes back to me and says he's just joking. If he liked me, wouldn't he come out and say it? Especially after this long? Curious to hear input and what I should make of it.
Can guys be platonic friends with a girl?

I think this is better asked in the relationship forum.
Scotch and some billiards, anyone?

Of course they can. All my male friends are platonic.. just don't have set with them ever and don't play those ego games with them.
I mean what guy actually seats and jokes about other women..He just wants you to get a little jealous and maybe competitive to stroke his ego and it isn't worth it .
Just my opinion
