I sail the seas, fearless and bold, I know no boundaries, Stiff and cold.
I search for the treasure, rumored to be out there.
Many wish to claim it, A pure, untainted heart.
Its mystical properties, of alchemy for me.
The water is as time, unending and ever going.
For no control have I, I keep on rowing.
I sought the seer, a witch of sorts,
Perhaps she had the answers, for my lead was naught.
She spoke of tales, detailing hearts far and wide.
She said they are quite common, but I must divide.
Split them in two, for evil lurks in every soul.
I had my task, I had my goal.
She looked upon me, with eyes of lust.
Unfinished her business, have me she must.
Fight I could not, for her magicks would dare.
To cut every inch of me, content was I, fear.
Mercy I pleaded, for I would giveth not.
A small gift for you, she pleadeth in lot.
Look into mine eyes, see your enemy.
With this, My vision was imbued, more now can I see.
Many a ship, from that day, did I board.
Many a pure heart mine eyes can now see.
The young, the pious the free.
Take from them, I could bare not....
From those willing to give, I would need to seek.
Those who would comply, I must be meek.
Loveless women, my mind thought.
They had lost but everything, could their heart be bought?
The ports, the bars, the beaches of yore.
High and low, my ambition would sore.
But what I found, I could not bare.
To befriend them, then ask, into their eyes I stare.
Not only can I see a pure heart, but the thoughts of their minds.
The cusp of their affection, the burdens they would bare.
Weak was I, but love them, oh so dear.
A mistake I would make, more than once.
For each time, a new one would I find,
Bewildered to their charm, they captured my hind.
I fell again and again, to these loveless women.
Who would never court the right men.
My plea falls to their deft ear, My words out of their head.
For lies they put towards me, from mouth to sky.
" You're such a great guy "
None sense, non sense, this maketh sense not.
For if I am so great, why would you leave me rot?
As much as I could suit them, they would all be the same.
Sure I was great, but for their needs lame.
A reject, to be bantered. A heart to wring to their will.
