this question is just meant to confuse you because regardless of the doubling its still 24 days.... what type of job would even ask this? bc its clearly not for a mathematician.

"It doubles every day. It takes 48 days to fill the whole field. How many days does it take to fill half a field?"
The very last day is the day that it is completely full.
If the field doubles in size everyday, the day before the last day is when it would be half full.
It takes 48 days to be completely full.. which means on day 47, it is half full.
Day 46.. it would be a quarter full.
Day 45.. it would be an eighth full.
Day 44 etc..
wow, its a trick question then.... mathematically speaking i would like to think its 24 i mean i did the math on paper...its 24. But then there your kinds of people -_______________________-click to expand

Let's try this with a smaller number of day.
There is a patch of lillies.
It doubles in size every day.
It wake 10 days to to fill the entire field with lillies.
How many days does it take to fill up half of the field?
Do the math and give me your answer.

No.
On day 5.. the field would be 3.125% full.
On day 9.. the field would be 50% full.
what the hell is 3.125! i refuse to think math works like thisclick to expand

It may be easy to get the answer here, because everything is written out clearly. Imagine this was asked during a job interview. You don't ask the interviewer to repeat the question. Would you be able to get the answer?
