How do you process and experience emotions?

Fear, pain, a lingering emotional dagger. Then suddenly it heals and I don't feel the pain as much and I gain a lot of understanding.

The bad part is it lingers, the good part is I learn from it.

Moon in Scorpio 2nd house, forming a T Square with Aqua sun in the 5th , Taurus Mars and Scorpio Pluto

Do you feel you feel it first or do you tend to analyze your emotions? Do you react right away? How do you try to “mend” it or soothe it?

I don’t know. Cap moon in the seventh., I loved being married

Like when you feel something do you tend to step back from it or feel it immediately? As a cap moon do you usually channel your emotions through mundane or physical tasks?

When I was a teenager, but now I just feel the thing. No biggie. I have a cancer rising and Jupiter so I can get very emotional.

I don't react right away in most cases, I believe that is the trauma response.

At first it's like a quick piercing feeling, probably shock, then a dread knowing that I will be hurt for a long time then it gets worse until it culminates into either a breakdown or the pain just leaves and I'm able to clearly think.

I don't try to mend it anymore, I have to work through the pain, but I do try to protect myself by avoiding situations or triggers.

Being alone is probably the best medicine for those intense feelings cause usually no one can match it and it's best just to let it pass like an emotional "death"

Hey sweets...

As you may know I'm not very fond of sharing my emotional side with the wider audiences, but since both us of share that pesky 12th placement, here it goes.

Let me start by saying that it depends on multitude of factors. The circumstances, what types of emotions etc etc. Now, I did mention once before that I find my delayed emotional response in high stress situations a blessing in disguise. Funnily enough, I was listening to a podcasts about 12th hose moon natives & high correlation to them dominating professions as first responders.

I became keenly aware of it when my father passed away back in 2009. I should highlight that he was everything I could've possibly wished in a father. My best friend, my most loyal cheerleader, my guide, my soudnig board and so much more. And eventhough mom & I moved from country to country and from continent to continent, him & I always remained close regardless of the physical distance. So the day i found out he had passed on, I was sad but nothing prepared me for what was to come some 6 months down the road. One day I had a pretty shitty day at work, & as I was in a habit of talking things through with him when I couldn't see the imidiate solution, I reached for the house phone & began dialing his number only for the realization that I will never hear his voice again hit me like a lighting bolt. It was a punch in the gut that knocked the air out my lungs & I dropped down to the ground and sobbed for hours. The loss is still felt but the acuity of it depends on the day.

Unless of course we are talking about my velcro pets. In which case, urgency are felt immediately & viscerally. Pluto 6tb house. Weeee 🙌

I hope the above assists you some...

Thank you so much for sharing so vulnerably 💙 I’m so sorry about your father 😔

I actually have something to ask you. I hope you don’t mind me messaging you?

It's extremely hard for me tbh. I'm like a mix between extreamly emotional, but also feel deep rooted toxic masculinity. So me trying to process intense bottled up emotions is like tears running down your face, but you bit your quivering lip then force yourself to simply shut down and go numb. Breath. In and out feel nothing. Then the emotions try to come back, and I bite my lip harder while quivering till I silence my intense emotions again. Its honestly a stressful situation tbh. I honestly want to go to one of those clinics where everyone gets all fucked up on shrooms/ other drugs, and a care taker watches over you while you truly let it all out. I feel like I'm always on the edge of truly breaking down and letting everything out, but I simply can't. It's like a defensive wall inside me cannot allow me to truly break down. I'm always holding it all back, and its rough every single time. Because of that I bottle emotions up, and let them eat me alive. Just pretending and acting like they dont exist. Then taking 24 shots of hard liquor so actual feeling doesn't even exist anymore.

Scorpio moon conjunct Pluto at 0 degrees in the 12th house.

I think I probably experience emotions more intensely than most people. But also understand my emotions better than other people. That part took me a long time to grasp, though.

For a long time, I thought I was an over-emotional dude. Then at some point in my late 20s, people (who I thought) who were close to me and understood me described me as stoic and unemotional. Both men and women told me this.

I realized that I had done such a good job of persecuting myself that I actually had learned to regulate my emotions better than pretty much everyone I knew. And I understood my own emotions better. I immediately know what I'm feeling, and why. Doesn't matter how complex or intense. And because of that, I generally know how to think past what I'm feeling. In the moments when I'm too overwhelmed, I have learned how to achieve catharsis and reset.

That said, my feelings towards one thing or another take FOREVER to fade. But I learned to contain and coexist with them, so it doesn't really matter how I feel.

I feel emotions very strongly and have knee jerk reactions. Sometimes if the emotion is too strong, I can't get myself to think logically about the situation making me emotional. I'm very sensitive and have a very short fuse and little patience; I tend to go off on people really quickly.

Cancer Moon in 1st House

Conjunct Asc

In grand cardinal cross with Cap Neptune/DC, Libra Mars, and Aries Saturn.

Honestly in my teenage years I liked to discipline myself to not let emotions get a hold on me, to become like a vulcan, then later in life, and once I managed to take control of emotions and see them for what they really are (pre-baked reactions and rationales) I liked to observe the process of letting them flow through me, like a sith, give them center stage for no reason.
I enjoyed the mystical aspect, quasi religious, of both these psycho physical practices.

My normal state now is to be very emotionless and placid, out of reach, but I like random bursts of chaos because I know it won't last and won't leave any trace on me or my psyche.
What I really dislike thougth, is drama, and people yapping around me.
