Is it possible for a Saturn to suppress itself to prolong a relationship?

Say that the Saturn person had their Saturn squaring the others Venus/Mars/Sun/Mercury. Would the Saturn person be able to hide their disapproval from the planet person or censor themselves to protect the planet person's feelings if they were aware of how this aspect would play out?

Saturn cares more about restriction than prolonging relationships, so I'd say this is an unhappy aspect for the planet person unless the Saturn person is much older and the planet person is looking for a parent figure in a relationship.
