After break up with aquarius guy

My aquarius ex of 3 years decided to break up with me 3 months back. I accepted his decision and decided to move on.
Am still moving on and there has been ups and downs.

Our previous relationship had no real issues according to me. I have a feeling he was insecure and created issues and distance as the relationship grew from casual to more serious. He admitted he was not ready for commitment and does not want commitment(marriage) when he broke up.
I never pushed him for things he was not ready but I stayed firm on certain grounds like fidelity, working out things together, team work, mutual respect and independence but he still felt pressure, mostly created in is mind. When he felt the pressure, he never communicated properly but used breaks for that. With time, I realised that the more I tried to understand him, the more he flew in the opposite direction..like sabotaging things.
Btw, he is a divorced guy.

After the break up, I commited myself to moving on and taking care of myself, with no contact
He's been making contact 3-4 times. The few direct contacts, I replied amicably, , the others I've ignored.

What I want to know, is that how often do aquarius guys ever realise they have issues to work on, actually work on them and come back as a better version of themselves?
Before I move on to someone new, I just needed some advise from those who understands this sign better.

Would need to know his chart. But Aqua males themselves rarely return, not because they didn't fix themselves, but because after they got their shit together often times they did want a break.

Don't limit yourself, move on to someone new if you get that spark, until then keep doing you and having fun.

It's fixed air though. Still fixed and can be stubborn but will still tell the truth about if they want something serious or not.

Aquas are known to run away from commitment. But if they realise they made a mistake they come back. As in they take teeny weeny steps and they may confuse you. They won't come out and tell you everything. They are stubborn too.
If he is aqua dominant or Uranus dominant, he may avoid commitment for as long as he can.

It's not running when we need space for contemplation. We don't like to be pushed, coerced or trapped. We want to make the plunge on our own terms in our own time.
