Aquas and gadgets....

Most aquas I know either never upgrades their gadgets - phone/mp3/laptop until it cannot be used anymore and another range of aquas who keep buying everything new new in market. I have been trying to understand this contrast which exists irrespective of their income. Mainly aqua girls i know has the first habit of using everything till it cannot be used again. But i know one or two who keeps buying new new. And most aqua men keep buying gadgets and a few i know use it till its dead.


Am wondering if there is any further pattern and the reasons behind this.

ok...I want to buy new new...but my budget or the idea of the new new gadget becoming old in a few weeks to months stops me.

For example, I have waited approximately 3 years and counting for my Mac...because I wanted the latest OS Leopard and NOW could you believe Macbook Air is out!! ::JEEEZ:: Now i think I may plan to wait some more...I'll never get my laptop at this rate. Mac is notorious for new releases every few months 😢

As for my phone...the thing about phones are the latest phone never stays the latest for long...so it just sucks. So you ride out with your old phone until the wheels fall off and get the 'newest' phone when its finally time and necessary. CELLPHONES ARE JUST LOST CAUSE...you can never win.

I hate the idea of not having the latest which keeps me from having the latest...

Personally I hate mac products. It looks good. so it sells well. I go for power and not looks. Mac has a power to make people believe that it has power.

Mac and PC has both its strengths and weakness as they are used for totally different industries. I do see Mac as more of a compromiser and cooperative than PC. Besides Vista SUCKS!

I would not buy the Macbook Air just yet as I'm sure Macs bound to make a few changes. Although Im eager to see what they will do with the lines of Macbook and Mackbook Pro.
