You can start to get worried when he starts showing his emotions!

So if its a new thing and your still on fascination street, take it slow - you can be sure he will.

Aqua is all about familiarity. they dislike when a SO is fascinated with them. Thats for his 'public'.

It takes time.
So...go real slow.
Treat him like his close friends treat him (if you can find any close friends)
Aquas like 'tomboy' types sometimes, partly because the behaviour of/with that kind of girl is often simpler. Like hanging with friends.

Young as in recently dating or young as in age we're mid twenties. And why is the fact that he is hiding his anger so significant?

Its not good if he's hiding anything.
I was being facetious also when I said "he hates you"
It means that you could be hurting him - without knowing it- and he may not be yet able to express why he's hurt.
So he might need to be cajoled or gently and in a friendly way, asked.

Aquas IMO can do well with Aries or Libran 'straightforwardness.
That thing is very sexy actually. Because theres no games.
Back to the 'tomboy' thing..

But Aqua will be...careful.
He won't let just anyone get so so close.
So give it time.

If he's being distant it may be that he's truing to figure you out.
Its an Aqua sport/compulsion.
Don't be offended.
Be flattered.

He will get to the stage of open criticism of a 'mate' later than most.
Sure he'll criticise others, but not someone getting very close - without reason that is.

I really think one key thing is that Aquas, though less expressive bout the really important things - feelings, will readily talk about what they 'don't like'.
By analysing these dislikes you can learn a lot about the likes.

And any jealousies.
