His caring side

So, a little update from my last post.

After ignoring me during a group gathering we met up again a week later with different friends. I chose my seat first and he came and sat opposite of me. The atmosphere between us was 360 degree different! Yes he shared his attention with the rest of the girls (i did the same) but when he shared his stories, its like he was only talking to me cos he was staring at me. I kept it fun too and it ended up a great night for us all _??_

I've known him for 5 years now but we weren't that close until we were in the same project team recently. I find him to be friendly, selfish, cold, aloof, flirty, intelligent, calculative, talkative, quiet, etc I've always felt something missing from these traits and realized that he never showed or act on his "caring" side until now...

It all started with the thank you letter that i wrote to him including all the project team, I was the only one that thanked him for believing in us and i proceed to thank each team for their contribution.

Well, he started showing and acting caring by offering to drive me and a few friends to the beach to get some drift woods. I wanted to drive but he insisted that he drove us there. I stepped on wet sand on the way back and soiled his car which i apologized profusely but he was so cool about it and said its no big deal (we all knew he is a neat freak)

His text messages for the past 5 years with me was nil. The most he texted was only 2 words which was ok and tq. I recently shared a video that made him cringed and lol. He begin to be more interactive towards my text messages and it went from non existence to 100 text per minute.

And he showed me his caring side, telling me he is currently helping out in a shelter and I was like wtf? Robot, you HAVE a heart? and he has been keeping in touch with me almost daily.

I have a habit to ignore and disappear on him when things are great between us and he would do the same and let me be... It would take months for us to talk again, but this time its different.

I was away for a few days, he kept in touch and called to discuss something, nothing personal though. And when I came back to school today he made the effort to see me and talked. I ended up talking and explaining about Vitrectomy to him, we are not med students oh boy he must have think im weird.

So yeah, is this a good thing? Im not being friend-zoned by him?

Not out on a date but he invited me and a group of friends to go to a cultural exhibition...

I always read that aquas like to be friends first, but from what you've told us, it sounds like a friend zone.

Maybe you should just tell him you like him.

Well since its more likely friend-zoned, a good reason that I shouldn't approach him right?

If you feel like you need to friendzone yourself then go for it. If you understand the way we think when it comes to 'knowing' someone you'd probably also think of courtship as friendship.

Be yourself and leave your expectations at the door.
