Try making a funny observation on something you see. The more twisted the better! That's what I do. Make 'em laugh.

Example: there is a billboard here that is advertising it's availability.
It says "For Sale. Shaun. Phone Number."
I took a pic sent it to him and asked him if he wanted to buy Shaun.

It depends on how serious the thing is that I'm upset about. If it's just a funk, usually my friend will do his funny dance, and that will get me out of it. If not, just let me be, and I will get over it on my own.

Yeah, maybe just once... if they don't know how to cheer me up without me saying, it's a bad sign.
